i do similar thing, except i fix problems over phone for comet like when someone phones up saying i have no picture on my new tv?! and then find out its actually the sky box that has crashed and people blame the tvs!

Get a small hook and pull out the bit with the screy heads on, donw pull it off it will break them! a small hook or a very small flat screw driver!

i have this on my one, i sealed it for now and it seems to be fine.

its more of a higher pitch tapping noise, ill try and get a vid, thanks

brand new belts and its comring from the right hand side of engine, i dont think its turbo becuase its tapping aswell, when the tapping goes the screech goes, i used to work in a garage on audis but im not familiar with this engine and i dont work in a garage anymore, maybe ill take a video of the noise and post it, thanks for the replies guys.

Hey guys, I have a glanza, when its cold and underload, their is a screetching and tapping noise thats getting worse and worse, it used to only do this when it was cold but now its almost all the time, its fine if your gentle with the throttle but going up a hill or going quick it taps and screeches, almost like a fanbelt noise, it sounds like its coming from the top of the engine but when you listen close is from the bottom, i dont know wether to strip it down and get new parts, get a whole engine or to swap the interinals with another block? any ideas? ive only had it for a month!
