To be honest i don't know what got me into car's i remember way back when i was only 3 years old at play school i always used to look forward to break time, i used to run to the little yellow and red car that you used to move along in using your feet haha My dad never had any Special cars whilst i was growing up, Until i got to the age of 9 and i discovered the Nissan Skyline, Ever since i found out about the Skyline i've been hooked to Car's, Jap cars especially and then when i was 12 i basically demanded my dad to get a Skyline as he was looking for a Special car as he has never had one, At the time he new nothing about them really and i have always had a thing for the R33 so we went to an import company in folkestone and when i walked in my love for Japanese car's just went to a whole new level i was 12 well into Japanese car's and i found myself surrounded by Supra's, Evo's, Subaru's, Skyline's and me and my dad spotted this R33 GTR in midnight purple over the back of the garage covered in dust with just some BBS Wheels on it and he basically just wanted it, And i got into mechanics basically as it was my full back incase i failed to get into the RAF as a fighter pilot, It had been my ambition for my whole life to fly and still is, but i come of my BMX when i was in Year 9 at school and hit my head on a concrete step without a helmet on as obviously helmets were not exactly cool as they say, I was in hospital for 4 days getting Scans done on my brain ect and i was unlucky as it damaged my eye sight, ruining any chance i had of getting into the RAF to be-able to fly Jets, so i gave up and decided to get into mechanics im 2 months from being fully qualified and then im off to uni to do a Degree in motorsport engineering and i will hopefully get a job with a team in some kind of motorsport

i know valve stem oil seals make the car smoke through the exhaust but we have had car's come into the garage were they have been smoking and we have taken the engine apart as the compression was very low and found the piston rings were in a shit state replaced them and solved the smoking and compression problems only ever done them on a N/A I cannot see how fucked piston rings couldn't give off a blue smoke from the exhaust, Because if oil is getting into the cylinder bores it is going to burn it thus causing blue smoke out of the exhaust, Sometimes when you change plugs on older car's they have oil around the recesses were the plugs sit, when you remove the plug it runs down into the cylinder and when you start the car up it smokes very heavily until it has burnt the oil off A mate of my old mans, his piston rings went on his car and the car was smoking really bad under heavy acceleration I'm not saying it's more common to have this happen then to have Oil come pissing out the Breather as i know that the obvious sign of piston ring damage is to have oil piss out of the rocker cover breather, But it can get up into the cylinder and burn off causing the car to smoke,

This should be good!! Hopefully be as good a build as your Glanza Rep was, I read that the whole way through when i first joined this forum such an Epic Project!!
-
Generally engine gasket kits consist of Head gasket, Rocker cover gasket, Inlet manifold Gasket, Exhaust Manifold gasket, Sump gasket
-
We have alot of car's come down the garage and when piston rings have gone they almost always let out blue smoke from the exhaust like when we road test it and boot it abit
-
Or alot of blue smoke coming from the exhaust
-
Epic tune!! and i don't even like dub step but i always have to make an exception for this one

I'm listening to alot of Artful Dodger this evening

Thought i would do a hows to on Replacing the Bulb that Illuminates the Heater control's, Sorry if it is abit of a vague Hows to but i initially did not intend to take picture's to do a hows to, It's simple enough to do anyway but thought it would help I'm not the best at explaining things but will do my best Tools Required x1 Phillips screw driver x1 Flat Head screw driver Parts Required A replacement bulb, I got one from a local Motor Factor's for 87p How to Right first off you just need to pull the little rubber bits of the end of the Heat and air flow levers (excuse the rubber gloves ) Then get your Flat head screw driver and gently prise the Heater control unit out of its position and disconnect the connection Then turn the unit over so you can see the back, You will be able to see a little access area in the plastic covering the Circuit board (I removed the plastic cover to make it easy getting hold of the bulb but you don't have to) Just use your Phillips screw drive to unscrew it about 1/4 of a turn Then here is the little bulb There is a little green sock over the top of the Standard bulb which pulls of so you can push it over the new bulb Then just re-fit the new bulb and work backwards to replace the heater control unit

Speechless, Cannot wait to see you down thurrock at some time in the Future i wanna see how she goes down the strip What tune is that by the way ?? lol

I'm after a decent alarm for my car as 2 of my family's car have been broken into recently and we don't even live in a shit area ;) And i know as soon as i start driving it around people are going to see it and find out were it is kept over night, So just want to know what alarms people think are the best I've been looking at Clifford and Toad alarms looking more towards Clifford though
-
It was a blown bulb in mine, Replaced it now though and all working fine, Bit of a stupid idea having just 1 bulb in it though, as it glows brighter to the right were the bulb is then it does to the left of the unit

Cheers mate, Got some Toyo Proxes coming tuesday ;) haha And you think ?? It will only be on until i get an induction kit then im going for Chatter lol
-
Shit ;) hope he's ok too

Thats well bad, I think i would have the same reaction to go smash the driver up abit, My brother in laws boss got absolutely smashed once and had a Argument with his wife, He walked on in a stress as he was drunk it obviously seemed much worse then the argument actually was, He went and hung himself and was found next morning, By someone walking there dog! Another reason why drink is bad, I think they should do stuff to Drinking like they have done to Smoking, As apparently drinking related problems Cost the tax payer alot more then Smokers do BUT The government only seem to do stuff about smokers, Stopping them from smoking inside, Stopping them from smoking in work vehicle's, At-least when people smoke they don't Murder people from Drink driving driving ;)

Excuse the really dirty car looks all scratched in the picture And insurance im just waiting for i could get insurance on it now but will be £1498 so waiting until April 2nd when i have 2 years ncb then i can get it for below £800 so i think it make's sense to wait and save the money lol ;)
