  1. oh and by the way guys, it doesnt always do this, and it sometimes idles at like 1300rpm when warm, it differs all the time (its not an air leak)
  2. no, eml light doesnt come on, just the oil light flickers :/ urmm im not sure, ill have to check that too dude
  3. yeah that ones fine, i was thinking more on the back like the n/a's :/ checked the others too :/ ill take them off and clean them up. ive still got the old home made earthing kit from my last starlet so ill bang that on too while im at it

  7. hi guys, having a bit of a problem with the car, sometimes, when i pull up to roundabouts the revs drop real low, and the oil light flickers, steering gets really heavy and the lights go dim ive tried changing the icv to no avail. any ideas as to what it could be? ryan

  14. the only reason 4efte's are lower compression is because of the pistons used, the 4efte pistons a 'dished' and the 4efe pistons are the highest compression standard piston you can put in this engine. the only difference between the 2, are the valve springs, pistons (rods between the older model) the holes for the oil filter relocation, the sump and oil pick up and the thermo/rad pipe housing bit you can skim the head ever so slightly, and/or just use a thinner headgasket as for cams the 5efhe cams are the only 'standard' cams that will fit, they are rare as rocking horse shit, but they aren
