ah! now thats a very good point right there actually. now may well be the perfect time to be asking Geo for a spot then! i forgot about that. Tim, it sounds to me like you do more than something right, sounds like you do ALOT right!!! in the mean time, have u thought about getting yourself a signature to use on UKSC that depicts your forum and/or shop, with perhaps a link built into it?? that may be a solution until u and Geo can discuss things. just a thought. just read tim's reply there!!! thats what i was asking mate! yes!!! nice one! in that case, if you want to approach Geo about a position, then i would recommend that you approach it from THAT angle, put the different spin on it, and tell him about your contacts and show him examples of your work with the 3sgte stuff!!! it cant hurt dude! i can't speak for Geo, and i dont know if your request would be successful or not Tim mate, but there is certainly no harm in asking, and thats how i would go about it if i were you. tell and show him what makes you stand out from the other traders! yes that did happen dude, i think it was Dan Evans that enquired. like i said, at the end of the day its Geo's call, if he doesnt want anymore to give the current traders a stronger position then that is his decision to make, he has his reasons for the restriction to the number of traders on UKSC, we dont have as many as TGTT do, and the traders have been jiggled about on here in the last year or so, TC Trading are gone, as is Garage 786 (correct number????) and Geo has removed the Tong Turbos section (as he offers them himself now as an agent of T'Turbos), not to mention the removal of another certain trader who shall remain nameless lol! so in Geo's defense, at least the traders spots on UKSC havn't sat stagnant for a long period of time. and what if all the traders are offering the same parts?? (thats a genuine question, i'm not being a wise-ass) what i mean is, what would TBDevelopments bring to UKSC that Nick, Dave, Keith, Ricky, Monster and Geo dont already offer?? if Ricky offers members his manifolds, why would they order from a middle man?? again, PLEASE dont misinterpret this as cheek, my point is that these are the very questions that Enzo could ask you when discussing a Traders position. If, on the otherhand, what you mean is that you want to offer particular services to members in a particular area of the mainland where there is an obvious need for a local EP tuner rather than driving 4hrs to reach Nick or Dave etc etc, then thats a different matter altogether. that wouldn't be so much a Traders account as an advert within the forum of services that you can provide to members in a particular area - physical services such as mapping, engine work, alignment, servicing etc etc as opposed to an online shop that distributes parts. you're concerned about your mate beating you after 110mph?? firstly....how to loose your licence 101. secondly - its a well known fact that EP's die off at the top end, however: thirdly - if the race aint over by 80mph (a speed you'll only get points for, provided its on a motorway and not in a 30mph zone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!), then you sir, ARE DOING IT WRONG!!!! if you're already beating the civic to 80mph (or in your case 110) then i dont see the issue. if my conversion will fend off V-tacks until 80mph then i dont give a shit if they blast on til 100mph, as far as i'm concerned the race is over and i won! get your priorities sorted man, top end is a sure fire way to loose the old licence. focus on response and handling, thats where the fun is to be had! and yet again...MINE DOES THIS TOO!!!! she'll sit at idle and the next second she'll drop a few RPMs til u think she's gonna stall, but then picks herself up a bit. hell, the other day she wouldnt start because she had been moved for about 20seconds about 2hours before in the freezing cold. they are gettin into middle age and starting to grump a bit, none of its serious man. if the 82s are still goin then ours will too. we are fortunate in that the predecessor to our cars was damn near identical, so the 91 owners will have plenty of warning if at 160,000miles every GT seizes a caliper, or shits the electronics. As Jay has pointed out to me, we are possibly unique in that aspect of car ownership, how many other cars have predecessors withso many, MANY, identical components in them?? i'm gettin the feeling from u tho mate that your heart is set on moving onto a civic, which is why you are LETTING these problems annoy you so much, you're justifying the change to yourself. but i ask you, how do you know a civic wont be any different?? i mean, they're pretty much the same age aint they?? they are bound to be having their own inherent problems at this stage in their lives just as our cars are.
