i dont have alot of time to post this guys but the short version is the police woke us this morning to inform us our cars had been vandalised in the driveway. Paint stripper (nitromoores) has been smeared over my car, my mums alfa and marks cinquicento. 6 cars have been hit up my street. every panel of my car has been done except for the boot, rough estimate for paint is 1800 at present. so the insurance folk want to write it off as 1800 for paint is more than the cars value, i told them to chuff off and i would get back to them. if they write it off i'll get what?? 400quid?? i can salvage the car from them for God knows how much, then it STILL needs repaired plus a new insurance policy!! it cheaper to pay for the repairs myself! also, if the engineer coms to look at it that comits me to a claim and i MUST pay an excess of 550quid. so at present i am waiting for my painter to come down and provide a better written estimate. thank God my wheels werent here yet! to say we are somewhat devasted is an understatement. this has wrecked 3 cars. the alfa has patches of bare metal. im on the phone to people like a headless chicken at the minute with work, police, insurance, painters. i would like to fix her although some wanker could do this again any time they feel like it! if i fix it and it happens again im screwed, i cant afford this repair let alone another attack. the reason for the 3houses bein targeted is known, the 3 houses were selected for a reason that i cant go in to on here, but needless to say there is obviously a security issue for the family now as these bastards know where we live and what cars are ours if they see them about and what we do for a living. i have contacted rick and jay and nath about a Glanza rear bumper, would really like a lip for it too. i wont get back on here for a few hours, anyone who has my number can reach me on it, i assure u guys this is NOT a wind up. i have pics of the three cars, its horrible. turboing the existing block isnt really a great idea. in theory yes some of the 4efe internals and gear box will take up to 200bhp, but u just never know. whereas with a 4efte conversion u have that factory-designed peace of mind! no doubt if rick sees this he'll tell me to shut up, but this is how Jay explained it to me. in theory yes u can turbo your existing block, but it could very well blow up in your face. if u do a search man u will find all the answers your lookin for. for a conversion u'll need pretty much the whole block from a glanza or gt plus associated ancillaries, im plannin this conversion so i'll know more when im doin it. boring the engine to 1.5, i asked this when i joined and the answer is dont bother, there is a 1.5 engine available from the Paseo that drops straight in, for more info on this conversion see Joz's n/a thread, and on the turboing of these engines see Riko's Cynos thread. Porting and polishing would do no harm at all. Phil.

classical musician?? awww dude thats SWEET!!! i used to play E Flat Sax to grade 4, but the old nasal parts of my head couldnt take any more! Queen DVD, dude, thats pure rock and roll!!! hell yes!!! yeah man i am, like i said i gave up the sax because my sinuses couldnt take it anymore, i often kick my self that i was grade 4 trained, could have gone on and now i couldnt make a sax make a note!! useless!! sinueses bein useless i taught myself guitar and drums, mostly metal and rock, altho i like to dabble in some blues drumming. i forgot all the technical and theory stuff years ago after droppin the sax, again another waste of things i had learnt, but I've been playin drums and guitar for maybe 7 or 8 years now, love them to bits, got a drum kit and 6 guitars in the house. I've recently been approached to play for a new band as rythym/lead guitar, and also asked if i'd be interested in a Judas Priest cover band, my lead work is, well, shabby tbh, but years of playin in the school orcestra and a brass band gave me good rythym, only ever played them live, never drums or guitar so i'm really hopin they take off as it would be sweet to get some decent experience!!!! sorry for the essay, im just a total music freak, cant do anything without music!! i could probably listen to your stories all day man, feel free to add me to MSN when u get back!!! its nanglebadger@hotmail.com Have an AWESOME time man! can i ask wot classical instrument u play? im with ryno, sounds like crap man, no photos no proof. just keep an eye out for anything in the post, and if necessary have a word with some of the folk u work with that could defend u, shouldnt be too hard. i wouldnt expect it to go to court anyway, dont think a court would really deem it worthy of wasting their time.
