i think the white lip gives the wheels a bit of contrast. i think the mods without the blue flake look ace. my boyfriend says leave it alone completely the white car looks fantastic and unmolested lol

decided against the green changed my mind to cadburys purple

cadburys purple wheels and the dash eventually too.

me and the other half have just sprayed the little bits and bobs inside white.

the centre console and all that jazz

the chappy who had it before sprayed everything black and it had cracked.

you could tell he didnt use primer or sanded it down very well.

but its all good apart from the heaters lol.

they look abit of a mess and need re sandin down which i shall go and sort now

i will put some pictures up later.

just waiting for them to dry.

it looks a hell of a lot tidier ;)

lol i have an N/A and i noticed a difference. didnt go faster than normal just felt like it had abit more go in it lol

haha funnily enough, i was flicking through the channels and fifth gear was on dave ja vu. they said that bp ultimate and shell v power does help make the car perform better. the cars produced the same break, but its response and performance was increased when they used bp and shell compared with the usual stuff.

There'll be some compensation in the ECU but otherwise as Ste says, its a placebo - the increased octane rating means the petrol itself is more resistant to detonation, which as a result means you can run more advance timing to create wider/more expansive flame front on combustion, hence a fuller, more complete combustion. And the ECU won't map itself to achieve that, what it will do is release some timing if it was pulling back if there were some minimal knock detected.

Higher octane petrol doesn't add power, it allows for it

to be fair i think you would feel more difference due to yours being a turbo and if its an import they are tuned to higher ron right?

Filled the starlet lastnight with ultimate was really surprised at how much more responsove the car is and sounds different too. im sure. also took out that double din japanese radio/cd player so i have tunes now. jus need a pocket to put in the gap above stereo

gt badge? well the spraying is on hold for abit maybe. got to sort out the burning oil problem first.

im goin with green mirrors and wheels. i like gt3s but think they are all too common. would like somethin different although if some came up for the right price id love it lol. black bonnet black roof thats been done to death too although it does looks the busines, and i dont mind the cumbersome mirrors i dont mind the stock stuff although some nicely mounted small etech f1 style carbon fibre mirrorson stalks would look ace

how much does it cost to get it reconditioned?

Hey Kaaaty, congrats on your new ride, car looks stunning and i love them starlets in White. So i guess i can leave the SR in the drive then lol. But for that price,i guess you got a very good deal considering the mods the car has. Look after it and please dont do the green detailing

you did tell me. but after i bought it lol. it was the nicest looking 1 i could find at the time and this is a minor setback

1 of the lads on here said the car i bought burns oil.

no real drama nothin that cant be sortedbut with the engine havin done 95k do i go the repair route or new 4efe lump i dont want to go turbo due to insurance costs. if anyone knows of a decent milage lump goin please leave me a pm
