An Auto would be the way to go! Ireland is the wrong country for a Drag car, all we got are bumpy airfields to run on, slicks your lucky to get a 1.9 60ft. Best time with a 2sec 60ft is 11.9@130mph The regular tyres pictured above though are coping well 2.4 60ft but still netting 12.2sec runs which is good I thought. When you say get it to hold together what do u mean? Reliability? -

Just had no money, gettin married next year so any moneys been going to that but I need to get back out for some runs, if I can get a nice time at the Pod I'm sure it will rekindle the interest. Have a ton of upgrades I would do to it but involves alot of work. -

Aye I'm expecting a spin fest, not going to use the nitrous though. Really just want to get some runs and ECU logs before booking a trip over the Pond -

Lol thanks Sorta lost interest in it so went down to ECC and fired it up, first turn of the key, bar a flat battery. Took some new pics. I think its time to do what needs to be done to regain my interest. Just lacking slicks at the moment, racing saturday if I can get a baby sitter lol, see how it runs on normal tyres. Faulty tyres which Mickey Thompson have kindly offered to replace in return they want them back to see what happened to make them fall apart. Peak RPM 9380, peak boost though is 0psi, so think it wasn't producing boost the last time out a few months back, terminal -

Small update. now 570hp reving out to over 9000rpm, though the nitrous switched itself off at 8000rpm but made alot of good changes to the car to help with traction. -

I'll be making a few appearances at the Pod this year, the first run over will be a quiet one though to make sure all goes well, after that though I'll let people know when its running but I would like to do one of the Jap show events. -

Bit more been done to this now. I'll do an update when I have it home and can take some pics of the saucy new bits -
Fairly sure they're aiming for 1400hp this time. Going to be an absolutely crazy car! Can't wait to see it out.

This is the weapon!!! Can't wait to see a video of it running!

I've heard of this happening to others. Your right there is a welded nut on the innerside and it can sometime break off causing the problem your describing. I've heard you can get at the nut by pulling up the carpets and cutting a small hole in the floor on the inside, sounds extreme but may be the only way. Now thats what I heard, no evidence to back it up so be sure before you start cutting the floor! Could maybe put something up the bolt hole and hit it with a hammer to see if it leaves a small mark on the floor on the inside, then you'd know where to make the cut.

It's crazy how times change, I have no doubts that 503hp won't be the highest power for very long though. I remember when TMD released their car I was in amazement at how a starlet could put out that amount of power, am fairly sure that was with nitrous aswell. -
Dunno if I'm heading down tomorrow but if your chattin to him tell him to call in, been chattin to him a few times up there.

I've still not drove her, can't wait! Racing next weekend at bishops court but the true test will be at Santa Pod on a decent surface, not sure if that will happen this side of Christmas though. More boost, revs and nitrous will only happen when it needs to but 600hp is within reach.

I know alot of fellas don't check out the members garages and follow build threads so thought I'd fire it up here. Recieved a phone call from East coast customs around 6pm this evening with some unexpected new. I was meant to be heading down there tomorrow morning to get a bit more mapping done but seems they found a little time to finish her off today. The following was done at 2.1bar of boost running pure methanol for fuel, we where originally going to use 2.5bar, also the car is fitted with a 150shot of nitrous but nitrous has not been used in the following run, also she's not been ran a

It's handy to setup on some ECUs, my own setup basically you jam the throttle body open 30% so it never closes even when off the throttle. Rotational idle cuts the fuel now an then when idling so that she doesn't just rev out. You wanna have the ignition retarded back a fair bit, in my case I use 27 degrees after TDC, the fuel lighting so late causes the exhaust gases to be still expanding in the turbo which spools it up, you then add extra fuel, the fuel does nothing else except cool the exhaust gases so your valves, mani and turbo don't melt. It's not healthy for the engine, you'll genera

Still using a stage 5 competition clutch, so far so good but I don't expect it to last. Being a 5E there are no twin plates available that I know of, been looking at the OSGeiken twin plates but would need to have it altered to fit the 5E. -

Aye Colin was down at ECC on Saturday, he hung around and watched some of the mapping. It'll be out at Straightliners for some fun, wanna get into the 11s over here before I go for a 10 at the Pod. -

Lol the video was on a very ancient Nokia, only thing I had to hand, will get some better quality stuff when the really serious mapping starts. I'm only after a figure in the 500hp area but the car is passing my predictions, reckon it will clear 500hp without nitrous so prob settle for in around 550hp but I'd think the clutch will have something to say about that.
