Had a fun day down at ECC today, got her mapped on Super Unleaded and a little bit of the methanol map done. I've no charts at the moment, just a very poor quality video of a pull while running Methanol. I'll try and get some dyno charts at some stage. 1.8bar on Super Unleaded made 402hp (ran out of fuel so just left her at that) 1.3bar on Methanol made 414hp. Not used nitrous yet on any runs as it's early days and still learning a few things about running the methanol but its looking promising. There's talk of heading over to the JapShow final. Not 100% yet though. Cars fixed again, the trigger wheel expanded on the high rpm run and hit the sensor. New sensor on and she fired right up.

An attempt at doing the Super Unleaded map was unsuccesful, managed about 4 pulls at 0.65bar then the car suddenly cut out, the ECU was no longer reading the trigger sensor signals, some investigation seems to suggest that the trigger sensor has gone faulty. Bit dissapointing but at the same time quite exciting. The car managed on a very rich setting and with no timing being advanced from the safe starting point selected by ECC still managed to make 272hp @0.65bar! So if thats anything to go by, I'm now quite excited about what she'll do up near 2.5bar on methanol. I'll keep yas posted.

600 miles done on the run in, gearbox oil has now been changed and upgraded to the high grade stuff, engine oil has had a few changes but still running mineral for now. Was down at Billybobs house today changing oils and let him take it out for a spin. Here's a vid he recorded. I'll get some more videos up as the interesting things happen.

Just a good old front mount on her, the methanol will keep it all very cool.

Not sure on the first english outting, hopefully this month. Not got any vids yet but I'll get some in car ones up with some samples of the gearbox sounds.

Passed MOT today, taxing her in the morning then the fun bit starts!

Aye I had one in mine and when I removed it the springs where looser and rattlier than I'd have liked. Would love an unsprung one, reckon they could take up to 500hp with a very stiff pressure plate.

Cheers lad, I'm actually very reluctant now to run her hard for power but sure I'll just cover my ears when they're mapping her. I'm hoping the MOT will be ok, if anything it'll get failed cause the MOT guy is confused haha but everything is done to the highest and safest standards.

Can you get an unsprung version of their paddle?

The plan was to go to TOTB X but the woman still hasn't had the baby, she was due last week but they're inducing her tomorrow night so thats TOTB out the window! Had alot on my plate lately with everything so the car has been a bit neglected in the mean time, here are a few pics of the fuel system though, you need to see it in person to really appreciate the size of it but hopefully the pics relay some of the niceness of it. New fuel Cell all fitted and plumbed in. New fuel lines.

Plan would be to leave mine Thursday evening and ferry/drive over through the night and get straight onto the strip, break her and then not have to worry about it for the rest of the weekend so just go have fun I'll be in touch when things are booked.

Just me so far, too many people slowing me down and holding me back this year so solo is best I think, if anyone else wants to come they can but I'm not hanging around on them. Maybe get Billybob to come, would be a funny weekend even if I none of us raced lol!

Yea but I might not get those figures You'll know instantly when you see the terminals anyway, even a crap time gets a good terminal. Can't wait!

All 3 days, want 12 runs lol, I'll be aiming to be on the strip 9am each morning when its hopefully quiet and has fresh sticky stuff down, get the 4 runs out of the way and get wasted Feel free to come over and have a poke about the car.

It'll be my first time on the Pod so very excited I've not been updating my members garage with figures incase I run crap lol, don't want fellas saying he has x amount of power and is slow as fook lol!

There's still slots available! the prices quoted are for spectating only, to Enter the event its £100 on the Sunday and I think you get to race/practice for free on the Saturday when entered for Sunday. £100 entry £60 Gas £80 fuel £100 for beer tokens and food £200 for the boat Thats a sort of rough guide I'm aiming for, though they have strippers there this year so the beer tokens amount may end up alot more

Try a differerent radiator cap.
