but then again it would be less expensive to buy a proper glanza if you chose my way haha
-
Arh thats a shame! i suppose if he isnt replying then it could be sold already which wouldnt be good, keep trying though as im sure that just a turbo conversion would cost nearly 800 alone so its a great deal but just have some spare cash for when it goes wrong. cheers matey, il be putting up this update ive been talking about up soon and some worrying sights of the underside of the car but its progressing. got quite a few bits over crimbo for it hmmm id say glanza rep with a turbo engine haha
-
ive just fitted a cusco oil catch can to my 4efe engine today, took like 20/30 mins as i was fannying around with the valve on the rocker cover. ive been reading how to fit them properly on here so thers plenty of info on them. They are more for looks on NA like everyone has said as theres less pressure, but its worth fitting one as theres less shite getting into the engine. Thats the way i look at it

okay i'll get back to you when I have some cash saved, I have afew parts I would like
-
i would be intrested in quite a few parts matey. send me a Pm when you know what you have for sale. cheers
-
cheers matey, it is quite a good deal if you price up a starlet and a glanza front end on top, but its not in the best of conditions, the guy who owned it was pretty much a retard to put it bluntly, the whole front end looks like its been stuck on with super glue, the head lights, grille are all loose. so its now become a full restoration project haha. theres a N/A starlet with a turbo conversion on pistonheads at £800 stupidly cheap for the work that must have gone into it.

its a very aquired taste for those carpets and no body likes them so should be fun ripping it out and burning it in disgust haha
-
i have to admit that looks quite smart! i think i need to strip the paint off the dash and door cards as it does look better the way yours is . what seats are they?
-
oh right well i might get my arse on there later see whats going off on there. haha yeah its being sorted very soon, it is awful aint it
-
oh well thankyou very much . don't you have to pay to become a member on tgtt??
-
ive already bought a glanza carpet off ebay. but thankyou for the offer matey. will be on the next update. Surely your red carpet cant be as bad as my shag pile?? haha
-
It was off adamtyler69 on ebay, got it from glostershire, yorkley. the guy has another glanza rep in navy blue. so im sure he must be on here or something
-
yeah ive noticed that big gap between the bumper and the wing, another thing to add to the list. The seats are good but its more of a track mod, so its not really to my taste either to be honest. Are they paseo dials?
-
Yeah it was on a few weeks on ebay, think it wasnt selling as it was pretty much near crimbo. Im looking at a few things to do on the exterior, got afew package arrived in the post recently so ill be putting an update on soon. Its for that disgraceful interior haha
-
Im thinking of keeping the worn alternator on though, sounds good haha makes me wish i actually had a turbo
-
evening chaps. been a wild few days so havent had chance to get on here. went up to newcastle for new year and on the way back i kept up with a renault 5 GT Turbo at 120mph!! im suprised how fast this thing goes. hope everyone had a good new year
-
Generally if you get a creamy substance in the rocker cover or coolant bottle then id say 90% that the headgasket has gone as the oil and water has mixed, maybe its on the turbo if it has a water port. but i havent got a turbo so i wouldnt know. compression test it matey then that will confirm your suspisions
-
haha thats nuts how they bail out of the car, why is there any need to do that haha. unlucky for some hey
-
Thats what i was thinking as they are small cars compared to EK's and on motor ways its always in the butter zone 4Kish so it pulls well then and uses less fuel. wow im glad ive changed cars haha Arh no i cant do, i love it ;) haha, well im gettin the whole front end resprayed soon so i may consider a colour change
-
haha yeap you guessed it, it was the D15z6 eco engine. i mean it was about 125bhp with the mods but it doesnt feel that much quicker at all compared the the starlet which did suprise me
-
oh tits sorry i didnt know it was for turbos only, do i get away with a glanza front end?
-
yeah the inside is quite shabby i must say but im going to keep adding bits to it, the buckets its got in it are good but with me being a short arse im quite low down makes it look like a 10yr old is driving it haha. i had my civic stripped, it was good for refusing lifts haha and lightness but it too hardcore for me these days and as its NA its going to do bugger all, whats the difference between the 4efe to the 5efe?
-
cheers matey. haha yeah the mind does boggle at why he put that carpet in, but ive bought a glanza carpet, black carpet dye and rear interior side panels so piccies update soon. i have to say even though its a 1.3 its pretty quick plus with a worn alternator bearing whistling after 5,000rpm i get to enjoy the false sounds of a turbo haha ;)

A late merry crimbo to you all!! some of you may have read that ive been after a SR of glanza fronted starlet, well with the cash burning a big hole in my pocket i wanted to spend it quickly. a recent search on here, ebay and piston heads i found what now is my new car its a starlet with 78,000 on the clock that was in glostershire 3hr's away from where i live so i got a mate to take me down there and we got a test drive in it and my god this thing handles brilliantly and its as fast as my vtec civic!! the interior is quite shabby with the floor carpet out of a house most probably haha. shag
-
i take it thats your starler in the photo? is it a glanza or have you done the front end conversion .it looks dam nice! well im going looking at damiens sr this weekend so if i get it ill be having fun seeing what i can and cant race haha
