  1. sorry guys, i very new to the forum. but your 0-60 time are just abit out.

    my ep82 auto is defo in the later end of 6 seconds, and shes totally standard, and will be willin to provide a video if needed.

    a vts saxo is standard time of 7.2, and i wouldnt even bother with them.

  2. they arnt that spectacular performance wise tbh for 30k this months editon of evo has a road test between it, the leon cupra r,

    a quater mile time of 14.5 seconds is nothing to write home about for a 30k car with 300 brake.

    putting that into perspective a lightly boosted ep or a standard integra type r will do that all day everyday.

    plus second gear in an auto is a great gear, as its so long goin up to 80, its great for sprinting out of 40 zones and kicking down for overtaking. the biggest thing i miss about driving an auto turbo starlet(had 2)

    it sounds like the guy started closing just before that gear was out(i can picture it),

    maybe he caught him napping or the guy was in 3rd when he should have been in second or what not but it doesent sound totaly daft and i could believe it.

    i think this was the case, just before changing into 3rd gear is when the rs was closing down.

    and yes he was trying his hardest to keep up, may of exited the roundabout in 3rd gear, ill never no?

    but in all very happy, he didnt seem as though he was too happy about it lol would you in a 30k rs lol

  3. hi guys, coming back from me friends house on me own, car is running very well in standard form.

    very cold night, roads wasnt to busy, cruising home at no fast pace

    out from the dark in me rear view mirror i see what looks like a focus, sitting up me arse tryin to push me along. boggy bloody green thing

    was on a B round driving at around 50mph with him kissin my exhaust pipe.

    within 4-5 mins i was abit peed off and coming upto a roundabout to go straight over to stay on the B round.

    i pressed the hight button along with the power button, he new i was going to put me foot down

    so exiting the roundabout i put medal to the metal, 40mph im doing really well

    50mph he hasnt court me up at all.

    60mph gap is still the same.

    the next time i looked i hit 75mph and the gap had slightly closed but not closing too fast.

    at this point we was braking for the next roundabout, i thought I've shown what me little car can do so now leave me alone.

    he slowly drives past me and turns out to be a 09 focus rs. he didnt look to happy :lol:

    just a little story as im over the moon with it, i mean 1993 starlet auto v 30k 09 ford rs

    been running on 95rom as you do for the past 2-3 weeks, read the post, dropped her to the petrol light came on filled her up with 99rom tescos. no differents at all.

    untill this morning which is the followin morning and fantastic! what a difference.

    defo more power, defo more smoother, and just alot more happy with the higher rom fuel.

  5. hi guys, just double check before i do a few mods, which ill show later in time, not long tho lol

    right i dont have a boost gauge, so from the standard boost gauge ep82

    my low boost reaches dead middle? is this about right?

    hight boost reaches just under full wack? is this about right?

    I've just been lookin at some vids on google of some standard ep82's, and high boost seems to be just over full wack.

    would like to know as might have very slight boost leak over .45 bar

    boost gauge will be coming soon.

  6. hi guys, right cars a gooden, been driven for a far few problem free miles, changed oil plugs filters this morning.

    now ready for a few mods :)

    a friend of mind owes me a faver and he rebuilds bike engine for a living.

    so put me thinkin cap on for something he can do for me as a good benifit to myself.

    if i asked him to port my mani, what sort of power and boost will this be good for? im only after around 170ish

    also theres mention that on the standard mani theres a lip which effects cylinder 3 and runs very lean, what could he do to sort this problem out.

    advice please lol

    but very reliable at holding good power! my last was a 1995 wrx import, standard at 260bhp got her to 333bhp for around 800 notes.

    not alot could touch me with a genuine 333bhp with a p1 clutch.

    only sold because of that reason (to common now days)

  8. hi guys getting me motor ready for mods after the new year.

    seems quick easy to get my figures of 165-170bhp and still run safe.

    but whats the crack with autobox is running this sort of power ok through it,

    will the clutch be ok?

    shes a weekend car so wont be hammering her all week lol

  9. Back that up with an adjustable fuel regulator and FCD before turning the boost

    too start me off could someone right me a little list of mods for me auto to get around 165-170bhp.

    im not wanting to go massive with it, but we all like abit more :)

    what ecu or piggyback ect where to buy from? if needed for my figures.

    what mod would you do first? decat? air-intake? whats the most restricive parts on the ep82?

    me friend has a 2000 plate clio 172 sport, quick little car too!

    but im sure with a few mods ill be well in front. what do you lot do for traction when upping bhp and boost.

    im having trouble keeping 133bhp in a auto down on the tarmac in damp conditions. OK in dry but im sure if i reach what im looking for around 165bhp in a car weights less than 800kg traction will be a problem.

    where as my friends clio 172 sport running around 185bhp traction is handleable.
