Got an A4 at the moment as a daily and Its good but I don't think a performance varient would be to my taste. I'm looking for a hot hatch/coupe performance car.

Never considered a Porsche TBH... might creep into the list.

I'm all for Nissan, like the skylines etc.

But the 350z is just like a stretched and flatter micra. They're fucking rank and shit slow standard! Sound nice though..

I'd be looking at going to sva imports or something, they had/have a 800bhp supra for 9k................

I'd be going at least 1000 Miles awat from SVA. Cars are rough as...and anyone with half a brain should know you don't get a good 800hp Supra for 9k!

E46 M3 might feel slow in a straigh line but its a far better all round car!

My short list at the moment for a 10k budget is:

Megane 250RS (Best FWD performance car on the market TBH)

E39 M5

Evo 6

R32 GTR

Rx7

Pretty much in that order... Need to do some test driving thats for sure. The megane is the odd one out as its more than 10k, but a fantastic handling car.

In your opinion maybe, but I like them, always have done. and the question was if you had 15k to spend on a car, what would u have, and that's what I'd have.

Just seen this... LOL Can't believe I've just read that...I'd have an RS4 over a Starlet Every single day of the week....great engine note, fantastic interior, great looking and all and all a better package.... not a rattly 90s granny car with some power under the bonnet.

15k to spend.....e46 M3. Best overall thing you can buy at that money. Great Daily & Great Track Car all in a good looking package.

This forum is so bitchy these days.... Personally I don't see why folk spend 5k on a Starlet... Its all well Socks saying "I can beat £100,000 supercars".... at the end of the day you've still a little 90s city car.... its not a sports car by a long fooking shot. Plus there is more to "beating" cars than a blat on the motorway.

The car world is the same all over, even in the S-Body realm folk break perfectly good cars simply because its the only way to get some of the money you've sunk into a depeciating asset.

Each to their own but I don't see myself getting another 90s jap car for a while. I sold the 180sx about a month and a half ago. Jenny and I worked out since I was 19 (when I got my Glanza) through bank loans and buying car shit I've easy spend £30,000 on cars in 10 years.... after it all I've pretty much got nothing to show for it.

Its not a lack of respect at all! A bit of slang or banter isnt intended to offend anyone. Some people can go over the top but this thread proves a bit of harmless banter can esculate into an argument. No one was even offended for fuck sake just some clown thought it could offend someone.

Banter and slang are fine among friends but when speaking to people you don't know its more appropriate to be polite. Hell I have a half chinese friend and the shit we say is bad, but at the end of the day, thats between me and him. I would never say the thing we have banter with to another chinese person because they may feel very differently.

A friend of mine kerbed a "real" rota and it bent the rim, only slightly, but still bent it none the less. Imagine sliding into a kerb in the snow on replice rota....

Yeah ok.... thats right your friend kerbed the wheel and it bent... In the video below at 40seconds in you'll see the Driftworks S15 smashing into the Driftworks R32 rear quarter. Now this was at a good 40-50mph the rear S15 arch, wheel and the likes took ALL the impact.... at 1.55 you'll see how much of the S15 rear end bent....and at 1.58 you'll see the ROTA GTR-D's the car run scrapted to shit but 100% whole and still holding air!

All wheels bend/crack etc, they warp and crack more if they are powder coated at the wrong temp, which is where most of the ROTA meme pictures come from.

yea it would probably be completely the same. why would a wheel made in china bend anymore than one made in the Philippine's?

Because the wheel in the Philippines is tested to industry standards unlike the chinese wheel which is made and then sold to the public....

My Glanza was far superior to my S14. The S14 is pretty cool to be fair however I know it's not for me for 1 reason.. I don't look at it and think, what can I buy next for it... I should be right?

Funky Power are holding an open day this Saturday if anyone is up for the banter.?? Starts around 10 I think, there are drift taxi's from 10 till 1, using the helipad in the industrial estate.
