If I do the remix will colour code it yeah, would probably smooth in the bodywork too ;) Anyone got any opinions on me getting a Ford Capri in about a years time?

A few people have been surprised at the mileage of my car so thought it would be interesting to see what other people's mileage is. I'll start (obviously): Year:1999 (S reg) Mileage:38900 (was 37000 when I bought it)

Yeah, agree with Phil there Although personally I'm surrounded by Corsa drivers and mates who don't drive and sponge free lifts off of me grr!

Then again, there is also my idea of getting a Ford Capri in the future ;) (Providing I succesfully get a job as a vehicle technician so can restore/improve it )

I was lucky with mine as got my Starlet S with 37000 miles on it in puurfect condition for £2400 but I think its only because it was a part exchange so the garage (a Suzuki dealership) wanted rid of it as it wasn't their own brand. Just have to keep looking around for a bargain, the more patient you are the more likely you are to get a good car that'll serve you well.

Is all down to choice really but for obvious reason would recommend a non-turbo starlet (a big no in regards to insurance) but in regards to which one I can't really say as only have a Starlet S (the lowest model), however, it is still damn good!! All comes down to what you like and can afford

It's those darn shops out to make as much money as possible I tell ya! Personally I like Christmas though as generally speaking people tend to all be in good moods and its a chance to relax for a bit. (and you get presents wahey )

Now there's an idea! (if I could afford it !! ;) ). I actually like the spare wheel thing, would get a decent cover though. Have seen solid spare wheel covers on the back of some Rav 4's so will look into that then have it painted the same colour as the rest of the car which would look rather smart I reckon. Yeah, am surprised at the positive response towards the Remix, I think the only person so far who really doesn't like it is ecksjay but even so he does have a point. At the moment am definately heading along the line of the Remix, especially after doing some insurance quotes for if I had a turbo (tis insane !!!!) Roll on new year!!!

Time is flying by for me too, spose for me it's working full time passes the time pretty quickly compared to when I was at 6th form last year. Also dreading the amount of money I'll no doubt spend on presents!!

Yeah, tis really different, and loads different to all the other Starlets on here, which is why I like the look of the Remix, and the whole looking a bit like a mini Rav as Shelly said. (like the Rav me does ) Will have a look around at how much a Glanza would be to insure in bout a year or so from now. Might also if I get a chance go to Toyota and find out how much it would cost to get the remix parts ordered in. Could help with my decision.

Ooo, now there's an idea and a half! Could maybe do the remix then wait till can afford the insurance and till I've worn the engine down a bit (only 38000 miles on the clock at the moment) then put in a 4efte as you say, or could be mental and have a 5efte and turn the car into monster !! Your opinions please...

Plenty of different views here. Nice words of wisdom from Joz there too. Whichever route I take the car needs to be practical as it gets driven daily for about at least an hour every week-day, plus there's hell loads of speed bumps near where I live/on the way to work. The remix would defo be more unique and cheaper to run than a Glanza..... Then again a Glanza is a Glanza, nuff said!

I rather like it to be honest If I did it I would have it without the roof bars and get a better cover for the spare wheel on the back though. And maybe smooth in the bodywork too to make it a tad smarter. I do see you have a point though ecksjay in saving for what you want to get.

Going Remix would definately make my car stand out, and as scutch0 is saying, would be cheaper than buying/insuring a Glanza (especially with me being only 18 ! ) Any other views on this anyone?

Price please?

Won't be doing anything for a while (due to money) but need to decide what I'm doing before I start spending out lots of money so would appreciate people's views. Should I convert my car to a Remix Starlet (shown below)? Or instead save up for a Glanza? Your opinions please....

Not sure if it's the same thing but my car does is too sometimes when sitting still/barely moving in traffic although is only subtle. Tends to be when the engine is still fairly cold (although sometimes is where I get lazy and the clutch isnt down enough ) Hopefully someone can diagnose exactly what it is for you. Don't think it's anything to worry about though.

Where from and how much (PM me if its easier) ? Could be something for my to-do list hehe. Liking the updates though!
