If he paints over it, the silicone is going to show through straight away, no matter how many coats he gives it. Ask him to sand it back down and respray it ;)

It also takes weight off the manifold hence it could help to prevent it from cracking ;)

Different gearknobs could affect the results ;) My money is on the TC being the shortest. But the question is, is the shortest the best? Not always the case imo. The TRD isn't shorter than the TC but it's nicer to drive with.

It should have a Jasma stamp somewhere.

A similar situation with my brothers Type R... He bought it from an auction then found out the chassis number had been tampered with. That sounds like a fantastic idea. I know Steve has a lot on but I'd definitely be up for organising a UKSC track day. If you could find out prices for me asap I might pop over, even thought mines only running at .5 bar.
