Thanks for the replies, very helpful Bourkey I've just read his old email again, and he mentions 'You've give me no papers to prove its on a new engine or the mileage, and you've give me no service book' Now thats certainly something he should have checked when he bought the car, i was going to reply saying give me your address and i'll get the engine papers in the post, but after that phonecall yesterday, i just ripped them and put em in the bin ;) He said it needs a second gear syncro, the brakes are making a noise and the under body covers we're hanging loose. If the under body covers weren't on properly, it would have failed MOT. And about the gear and brakes, pah, perfect when we had it.

Hello everyone! The lad who bought my brothers car is causing us havoc! Hes making threats about what he will do if he doesn't get his money back.. But i'm thinking we don't have to return a penny to him because its a private sale? He claims theres loads of things wrong with the car, hes saying the second gear syncro is damaged and the brakes are screeching, and quite a few other things. But i think its a load of rubbish otherwise we would have obviously stumbled across the same problems? The car also passed MOT 8 days before he bought it.. Any help appreciated.. I've told my brother to report him to the police and tell them he is making threats over a private sale.. Is it the right thing? Thanks ;)

I'm going to take my windscreen out as i need a new one anyway, and take the doors, tailgate, and bonnet off. I'd also take my back windows out! Masking it is where most of the time gets spent in my experience! But if its not done properly then your gonna have a shit overall job so its worth every second!

You wouldn't need to even prime it lol, just rub down the lacquerand sort the damage if there is any.. Still going to look around for a cheaper quote!
