  1. Our 45's were chucked in the bin and replaced with 50's. They just felt SO much better!
  2. I'm planning to start organising another one in a while, but when the weather is HOT!
  3. I'm here You won't need heat or anything, room temperature is fine. Apply the lacquer evenly, just like you do with spray paint but it won't shine straight away. Leave it for 24 hours then POLISH off. Job done.
  4. I've got a nice video but its not getting posted!
  5. Sorry i havent updated, comps been down. My 21" TFT is bust and i've now got to use a shitty 17" brick monitor! Well better than nothing! Well, i'll go through the big update step by step! Wednesday 7th Feb - Old engine and gearbox out! Inlet mani, Altenator, power steering pump, and other components transferred on to the new block. All belts changed including timing belt. Thats it for the first day! Thursday 8th Feb - New engine block in... ...which was after so much fcukin about with swapping engine mount holders over, which meant to remove all the water pump and pulley covers - A BIG b**tard!! Another filter reloaction with air reservoir Made this fron some hose reducers and Corolla airbox pipe: Gearbox fitted Friday 9th Feb New dizzy cap fitted (BOTH of the other two broke!) Driveshafts fitted. Engine oil, Gear oil, Power steering fluid and rad water all chucked in. Then the battery and filter. Started it up to find a hole in the exhaust manifold, so fitted the old one on! Its now complete and makes no ticking gay noises at ALL anymore. Haven't tested the performance side of things yet becuase of all of the snow - It sounds much better with that filter relocation now though!
  6. Thats looks pretty mint but not a fan of them black lenses at all!
  7. Thanks mate. One problem already occured. NO engine hoists available!! It'll be a pain without one of them!!!
  8. Thanks for all the info people, appreciated.
  9. Yes my bro said 'hopefully' but i'm going to book the tickets and drag his arse along!! Anyway, got an accelerator cable holder thing made on to the inlet mani as it never stayed still before! Engine fitting tomorrow, yayyy can't wait!! Going to get busy with the paint on the weekend from a bunch of stuff on the old engine, then just transfer the bits on to the new block!!! P.S Ordered a new mani cover as both the ones we have are snapped. New one was of a GT so didn't fit!! 4EFE Mani Cover WANTED!!
  10. No.
  11. Liking it mate, it needs a nice steering wheels in there just like our SR does!! I'll be spraying all them interior panels in ours again, they're already a creamy white but i'm planning on going over them in super white! Nice work, looking shiny too! Red callipers are cool I've done ours red yonks ago which ALSO need doing again now!!
  12. Agreed, electro supercharges are a waste. Tommy the car looks mint, exhaust sounds nice too, better than i expected! Before anything else, i'd say spend £7 on the clear front lenses! That'll really neaten it up.. When you fitting the GT spoiler?
  13. At all you lot!! Phil i'm wanting to shake your hand just as much as your wanting to shake mine and the same with the rest of you members! We only get to spend ONE DAY together from a FULL YEAR, yet we talk on here like every other day of the year! I think we need a SAE Starlet Auto Extravaganza, or should it be ExtravaGlanza? Haha!! Really looking forward to JAE everyone!! Anyway, talking of the engine i'm wanting to spray the manifold cover chrome(New one ordered), fuel rail chrome/white and quite a few more bits. Also need to polish the rest of the engine under the bonnet and make a battery cover and spray that chrome! Hopefully i'll Hammerite all the rusted bits too under the bonnet too. Oh yeah and we need to order some Red/Blue HT leads. Really want it looking sweet under the bonnet, even if it doesn't move like a turbo, atleast it can look as good as one under the bonnet!! (Minus a big shiny turbo) Well thanks for all the comments.. @Geo - PM'd!
  14. Thanks alot for that Ian. Still thinking, people on tgtt say just get an FTE, but as i said, still thinking!
  15. I've tried the search but can't find much info about Turbo'd 4EFE's. Anyway, the turbo, downpipe, manifold and ECU will obviously be needed... 1) Will the CT9 downpipe fit on to the n/a exhaust? 2) What mods will be needed to make sure its running at 6psi? 3) Will it hit fuel cut if its set at 6psi? 4) Which ECU will be needed? GT or Glanza? ALL information is much much appreciated. Thanks very much.
  16. You may get bored of that exhaust soon then eh?!
