  1. Think im just going to have to buy a HKS FCD and re-wire it! Must be the FCC that screwed!! unless anybody knows anything else?
  2. Yeah, it goes to the live, the earth and the the green and white wire from the FCC splises inbetween the boost wire or whatever it is? So if its wired up right what acn it be? Why is it not working??
  3. Right I have a JAM FCC fitted to my car and it was installed before I bought it. The problem is im only able to run 13psi before my glanza hits fuel cut so the FCC cant be working! I have taken the glovebox out and checked all the wiring going into the ecu, all looks fine, soldered properly, no amateur job. The wiring is wired up to exactly the same wires as you would wire a HKS FCD to. Is this correct for the JAM FCC as I thought they were different? Does anyone know where I can get some info on this and maybe even a wiring diagram? Any help would be much apprectiated as this is doing my tits

    It doesnt hit fuel cut when you are flooring it just when you are say climbing a hill in 3rd at low revs and put your foot flat to the floor, then it boosts to about 13.4psi and judders like a mofo!!! Does anyone know if the JAM FCC wires up the same as a HKS FCD, If not does anyone know where I can get hold of a wiring diagram as ive tried google etc but cant find no website for JAM!? What boost pressure should I be able to run with the FCC? The exhaust system sounds abit louder but no noticable power difference? I only got stainless from the cat to the back box and the silencer removed.

    Right, Ive checked all the connections where the FCC splices into the ecu. All look fine and soldered properly, no amateur jobby! Its wired up exactly the same as the wiring diagram in this thread for the HKS FCD Click me? But my car hits fuel cut at 13psi! Could it be the JAM FCC thats faulty?

    Can I pull the plugs out of my ecu or will it mess something up? also all the wiring looks spot on! All soldered in and elctrical taped over! Ive pulled all the old tape off to check the connections on the soldering and they all look fine! I need a wiring diagram to check its wired up correctly!

    I knew it wasnt working right since day one! Right how do I know if its wired in right then? Any chance the module could be broken? If the wires are all in the correct place then what else can it be? Im going to check the wiring in half an hour or so, waiting to collect it from superflow as ive had a stainless cat back put on. Anybody know where I can get a wiring diagram from to check it against??

    Thanks! I arnt sure if mine is working! It was in the car when I bought it but I can only run boost upto just below 13psi before it hits fuel cut! Is this higher than standard?
  9. Can somebody please clear up exactly what a JAM FCC is as I have one fitted to my Glanza and I havnt got a clue what it is! I am looking to upgrade my ct9 to a ct9 hybrid and I am told that I need a FCD - this is the same right?
  10. Nice1!!! Whats a Hiflow turbo? I know what a hybrid is - well sort of! What power increase can you get from converting your standard ct9 into a hybrid or a Hiflow? Im going to call Andy tomorrow. What price should I be looking at for my turbo reconditioning?
  11. Right, Ive had the car about 3 months now and alls been good so far. Yesterday I was sat in traffic and smoke started pouring out of the exhaust, as soon as I set off it stopped! When I got home I got out of the car and walked round the back - no smoke! I left it a few mins to tick over and poof there it was again so I just turned the engine straight off! Whilst driving there is no smoke at all. It only smokes when you stop and let the car tick over for a few mins! Anybody know the problem? Expensive????
  12. I can weld but how do I know the shape of the subframe I need to make without having the seats? Anyone made some before? If so can anyone put a diagram or pic up with the dimensions aswell? Slim chance of this I know but worth a try!
  13. Have tried the search but hasnt really cleared it up. I have seen a few glanzas with recaro bucket seats in from an evo, do these go straight in or do you need subframes? also if you need subframes where can you get them from and if i buy a recaro subframe will ANY recaro seat fit in my glanza?
  14. Where did the filter, tubing and hosing from mate, and how much was it all? Really want to do this and looks a fairly simple job and looks sweet!

  17. Dont know what boost im going to run? What will I be able to run? Also about tobys store I realised it was toy tuning just after I had written that last post. I have no A/C either.
  18. Tobys store? What stores that? Anyhows I've seen the hks actuators on the staletgtturbo.co.uk website at £85 so i think I will go for one of them unless Tobys is cheaper? I think I should be ok with fitting it, Im not amazing at mechanics but I always get by! will I have to get anything else changed e.g fueling etc...? I have a profec b spec 2 boost controller so im guessing il just have to have another fiddle with that afterwords?
  19. ye mate I have a glanza! How hard are they to fit then? Somebody told me it helps stabilize the boost therefore prevent it dropping off at high revs, That right? Also where can you buy them from and roughly how much are they?
  20. Just wondering what and uprated actuator actually does? eg hks etc... and how hard are they to fit?
  21. I have a jam fcc fitted which I am told is the same as an fcd, How the hell do you get 200bhp out of my car then? I have tried to fiddle with the boost controller and I just cant get it right at all, I have tried every day since I got the car.
  22. Unlucky to him, Glad to hear hes ok though, still ticking! I work in a crash repair centre and the amount of cars that come in with peoples skin, blood and hair stuck in the windscreen is amazing! And most of them had there seatbelt on! A seatbelt sometimes doesnt save you from hitting the windscreen! Get some harnesses and dislocate your shoulders instead!
  23. It has a jam fcc fitted, I do know that. It used to hit fuel cut but now I've messed about with the boost controller and it doesnt although it now only boosts to around 0.92 bar max and drops gradually to about 0.75 as the revs get higher, this is the best I can get it, but I am going to book it in at Thor racing as soon as I can afford to for the fueling and boost controler setting up properly!. I arnt 100% sure what it has fitted as the last owner wasnt sure as it came tuned from japan with no spec details, so all I know it has it what the eye can see! Is it really worth £450
  24. Just gutted the cat, doesnt really seem to be any different though in sound or performance? How much will a ct9 hybrid set me back? will I have to change ANYTHING else at all or will it just bolt on? I just cant seem to get my head round the fact that you can just bolt on a bigger turbo and not upgrade anything else! What power can I expect if I was to install a ct9 hybrid and change nothing else at all? And yeah Ady I know your a dodgy bastard!
  25. The 15.444 was the 2nd to last run of the day, against a dark blue evo! I had about 5 runs all under the 15.550 mark. All in all it was a good day, managed 17 runs! Yeah im hoping that with my decat in place and thor have sorted it out im hoping to get just into the 14 second barrier. Also no it doesnt hit fuel cut, boosts to about 0.97bar max, it used to boost to 1.21bar but I had a mess with the settings and now its running ok, still needs setting up better though!
