  1. what i normally do is get a extension for a ratchet and the correct socket to fit then use elecy tape if its still a bit loose home made tools ftw , by the way ive done my polo and my mates scooby twice with his method

  5. ive got a wepr power up kit to fit and a nice new hot side pipe which os stupidly short but im building up all the parts so i go from like 160 crappy spec to 200+ decent spec lol
  6. right well today i decided to take out the aircon sensors wiring etc , all was going well i undid all the brackets took off all the sensors etc, removed all the plastic tubing stuff and then pulled all the bits off the inlet and pull the tube off the pvc only took about 30 mins then i decided to take all the wiring out for the clips , so started to pull it etc then it got stuck and i thought it would be a good idea to cut it so i did and this then happend really eratic idle, whilst panicking i then realised DUH! i hadnt blocked off all the parts of the inlet so i did that and guess what same thing so i come in absolutely in tears to search the forums , then "BING" idea i remembered i forgot to put the pvc back on and guess what it was fine phew!! haha so whilst at it i decided to sort out my high idle , now the cars running sweet so heres a few pics incase any of you guys shit ya pants too or get stuck so these are the wires to the clips that are up in the left hand corner of the engine bay, all i done was cut it and taped it all up and tucked all the wires back into the plastic box thing from the back of the engine i.e. these clips so heres the before pics and the after i also got some more goodies through the post to go with the build im currently building up parts for haha a gasket , thermal wrap etc and a lil gathering of the boxes and parts i have making the GF complain lol only got gauges left to get and oil etc then turbo and ecu and jobs done anyway as the thermal wrap was here i decided to wrap my FMIC pipe before - crappy looking after all wrapped n shiny n nice ad lastly one nice tidied up engine bay and then really really lastly the amount of crap and weight saving from it all sorry for the essay
  7. dont worry guys problem solved im such a twat i forgot to reconnect my pvc up to the intake and thats what the leak was ! lol i cut all the clips out now and wahooo car works fine
  8. right ive took all the sensors n crap off for the aircon bit have been left with some plugs hanging around so i tried to just pull them out n follow the wiring along to each plug but then i got to this now they are stuck in lots of plastic n hosing and its guna be a big job surly tho cause they are for air con and all sensors are gone can i not just cut em instead of trying to pull them out !? lol so i cut them then started the car now this happens .... EEEKKK HELP

  10. right just a quick one do the corollas and GT's use the same oil filter ? reason i ask is miib14 has a sandwich plate for sale from his corolla and i want it for my GT it has 2 different thread gold bolt things that go in the middle but i just want to double check as i dont want an oil leak and engine going KA-BOOOM cheers guy

  17. daz youve recently gone td04 what bar u runing and what engine specs whats the difference like ? i dont mind lag if i get such a massive boost in power that i can make the lag time back if ya get me
  18. nah deans means a new manifold etc i contacted him as that was my original plan dont the oil n water lines on the td04 need to be changed though ? i thought it had to be made to run 2 oil lines in/out instead of one being water or something

  20. hmm i wana go hybrid for the fact that its like instant power n im pretty much complete now with the build but then i know my engine isnt the strongest and i dont want it to die lol but then after running the strip last weekend maybe a td04 will give me a better time ?? hmm i like the hybrid route as its easier to install etc ARGH!! ima have a look on tgtt
  21. uhm it wont damage it unless you touch it n may cause static etc but you will probs find it harder to sell if its been opened, y ya wana open it ?
  22. right im confused n i cant make my mine up now, basically i have a wepr power up kit , short fmic , mani etc but after seeing steveGT thread with his crank oil seal going whilst running a hybrid has kinda put me off fitting one lol my idea was nice short fmic and a nice hybrid turbo = little lag,lotsa power but then i was doing more research and now found out that a hybrid at 1.2/3 bar is the same as like a td04 at 0.8bar power wise but the td04 is a little laggy but how much laggy is it ? so is it now worth me selling my power up kit n gettin a td04 kit ? cause the way i see it is , same power but less boost = less strain on engine and is it true that you cant run 1bar on a td04 with a standard engine ? god im so confused on what to do !! oh and what ever option is best i will be running externally cheers guys please help lol i wish i knew someone with a td04 so i could see the difference

  24. unscrew the knob n lift the gaitor off its only clipped in so squeeze it slightly
