  1. was leaving glasgow to greenock and on leaving paisley also, what colour is your ep82?

mine is dark grey sometimes you would think it was green it has venoms on it i fuckin hate them savin to get new wheels.

i know a few folk from greenock, is there still a black ep82 kickin about doon there

  2. well mate i'm a valeter and honestly mate i would not use g3 only if you know what your doin cause it can fuck your paint and you have to use a machine buffer and it would take forever what i would do is t cut it we use a t cut from auto-smart its called cut-back and then use a hi-res polish then a mid res polish then a low res for the shine only this order if it really needs it, but if you really want to go the g3 route then get someone who can machine polish to do it but the purpose of g3 is not for a shine it is to remove scratches.

  3. nice one mate got an ep 82 gt turbo myself, love the blue dials, from the glasgow area myself which road was that you were on

  4. surprisingly mine was very reliable :p all my friends were falling apart though, thought it was i good time to sell!!!!

ive raced a couple since and wasted them, i suppose i can still corner it as fast but i think i just felt safer in the gti,

it loved being sideways and you could hold it, where as the starbo feels abit twitchy, all ads to the excitment i suppose, :D

i know exactly what you mean i still have a black 106 on a r plate with a 1.6 8v engine fookin fast wee machine i love it can throw it round corners at scary speeds(done so on many occassion :DB) ) and just sticks feels way more safer than my ep82 but i do prefer my starlet in the process of sellin ma pug as not as reliable as hoped, clutch has gone, Nice wee car with tsw volcanos try and get some pics of it

  5. Turbo cars need different oil to N/A cars. Mainly due to the excess heat generated by the turbo. Saying that my bro uses Castrol magnatec 10w/40 in his CA18DET (T28 turbo) although he finds that at high RPM's when going flat out that his oil pressure drops drastically, this is due to the viscosity of the oil at high temps

Thanks to Oilman who seems to be on every forum in the UK providing good oil info!

alright bud just a quick question checked my car needed oil and fast so just stuck in castrol gtx magnatec :p dicovered there was white smoke comin from the tailpipe and spraying trickles of oil on the ground then my brother told me i should be runnin fully synthetic so i drained the oil and replaced it with 5w-40 fully synthetic didn't change the oil filter. I no i should have but with me runnin that oil before is this going to damage my turbo, seems to be ok but need some re-assurance.

  6. i use a g clamp to put the piston back in

with regards to the handbrake light got no idea :p weird one

tried using a g clamp couldn't get it positioned properly,

with me only placing the one pad back in could that be the reason the hand brake light is still on. because i think the hand brake may be stuck on now. dont know my brothers the mechanic get him to look at it tomorrow

    cheers anyway guys appreciated
