ive ran the car with no PAS and it would be bareable for a quarter mile day. (i used to drive a nova with 16's and no PAS) I imagine it would make a bit of difference gonna run two Toyo R888's up front aswell

im going up to crail on th 5th november and im wondering what the average time for a standard SR are? im going to disconnect power steering and maybe strip it so id hope for slightly better than average times cheers

I got my manifold today from my work (staff discount he he) i want to do something with it so it stands out in the engine bay but im not 100% sure on what any ideas?? cheers

I spied a Celica (1993 non-turbo) at my work and i noticed the seats were ever-so-slightly more bareable than the standard gumf in my SR Would these be a straight swap? Any info would be great cheers

Yeh i work at a breakers so i can have anything i want pretty much (perks of the job eh ) Any other nice parts to look out for on the fellow Toyota machines? Fancy an enlarged throttle body or similar (something to really let it breathe - except a turbo...)

Im 19 (April and im 20) Im on my 1st Starlet at the moment (only an SR due to having 7points/ban) Ive had 3 Nova's, a Punto, and currently own a Golf too.

is there much gain in the 1500 unit? straight swap? loom etc

I did a search but it didnt really come up with the goods. Is it best to take all hoses too from the Corolla? Might paint it up before it goes on.....

looking good mate Id look into getting a Pug 206 foglight? It would look alot more flush if it was fitted in the bumper. Im originally a Nova owner and 206 items are used alot to overcome the dreaded MOT Might be worth a look

Is it worth chipping it? What abourt cams etc? any parts i can use off a GT?

**EDITED** Righto, Im new to starlets so im also new to effective tunig methods of the 4E-FE engine Ive heard of using a different intake manifold off a Corolla - What age/engine size etc is this? I have fitted a universal K&N filter but im unsure what to do with the sensor on the top half of the airbox - is this essential? What other methods of tuning have you lot used (except turbo's - i have 7points so no-can-do) Anyones input into this would be greatly appreciated Cheers folks

Looking at my starlet ive realised that the door mirrors let it down. what option to i have in regards to aftermarket ones? not shitey M3 etc ones though but something nice. cheers all

Cheers lads Yeh the nova had its blemishes but it was still a nice car The flames i used to get out of the exhaust were amazing - about 2 foot long!!! Good old carb'd engines!! hehe Digi dash was a nice touch too - but rather common, like the speedlines this is my current ride while the starlet is getting sorted - Oh and its for sale!!

for the comments folks i chopped the black on white bonnet onto the car and some otehr odds and sods - opinions?

or i could paint it black? or even white centre with black sides (or vice-versa) or i could just paint it white for fook sake lol decisions decisions

Right, first of all, hello. Right thats that over with - Phew! Im new to the Starlets (very clued up on the jap scene - just not Starlets) Ive owned Nova's in the past so i see the Starlet as a Jap Nova hehe My old Nova - Ive just bought a CAT C write off 1998 white Starlet SR Needed a bonnet, O/S headlamp and flasher and a bit of gentle persuation on the front panel. Sorted that (allthough the bonnet is red) I was pondering on painting the bonnet but leaving a red 'Rising Sun' in th corner of it? opinions please nice site by the way
