Looks to me like a chavved up 1.3GL or something lol <--- saying that, if you look at the N/S wing, it has shut off lever things. hmmmm My mate had a GTi in that shape, and by f*ck it could shift!
  4. ET45 will be fine as long as you use a 10mm spacer. You may get away with a 5mm but dont quote me. The higher the ET number, the tighter into the car the wheel sits (i.e. ET30 will stick out past the arch and foul) Hope this helps!
  5. Sounds like a suspension component to me. Jack car up and give everything a firm shake. Any movement of the wheel other than turning it round is not good.
  6. it was on the brow of a hill so he'd have been none the wiser to my accident im gonna have to break it as im insured TPFT. Put your name and what parts you want and il check them this week and give you a price. 5x speedlines with two brand new toyo proxes t1-r. one of the other tyres burst on impact and another (spare) had a nail in it - may repair Corrolla (JDM) inlet manifold. Usual SR refinements - SPOILER AND BACKBOX ARE SCRAP
  7. I swerved to miss a berlingo van coming the opposite way and stuffed it into a hedge, then causing the car to roll down the road. got out of the car un-aided with only minor cuts/bruises. very lucky excuse the red bonnet - i bought it less than a month ago as a damaged repairable lol piccies!
  8. you can get them to fit. I had my TSW wheels from my nova on my punto. You will need some new wheel studs however. Ones with a washer at the head of it (known as wobbly bolts - dont let the name put you off). Its not really advised but i did it and it was fine and had no probs at all.
  9. Is this possible? i work ata breakers yard so i can get one of these no problem
  10. is it possible to raise the rev limiter on a 4E-FE?? if so, how?? cheers
  11. Kind of a sackable offence but i will see hehe
  12. Hmmm i may be able to lay my hands on another one..... il check tomorrow. il keep an eye out for speedlines too
  13. I fitted this today and it certainley made a big difference pulls like a train from 3500RPM all the way to the redline. very impressed with it!!
  14. I can get them very cheap of course. i reckon if it was a tad lower and the wheels were white it'd look pretty darn good. keep the speedlines for the road and the 14's for the 1/4mile / track
  15. yeh iva had bother with the stereo not saving anything how do i rectify this? the SR had been stolen and had the stereo nicked at come point so the ISO plugs had been cut (how hard is it to just unclip the fucking things - stupid thieves) so i have re wired ISO plugs again
  16. Ive spied these wheels at work and im quite interested they are off a honda jazz so should be the holy 4x100 PCD needed theyre 14" so with some decent rubber they should aid handling... toying with the idea of painting them white too.....
  17. My SR doesnt have any decals on it whatsoever not even 'toyota' or 'starlet' are to be seen im after the original SR decals and wondered if they are still available? cheers all
  18. Ive not long had my EP91 and every time i get in the car the clock reads '1:00' also the interior light doesnt work my first thought was a fuse but i cant find one any ideas??? cheers all
  19. i used G3 on my flame red Vaux Nova and it came up a treat. I then polished it with meguires caranuba wax. it had faded badly but came up like new PIC:(bare in mind that paint is 14 years old) My starlet had been sitting ina breakers yard for nearly two years so has oil stains etc from cars sitting on the shelves above so i see G3 will be best for cuttign back through that. then a good coat of wax But yesterday i went a bit daft... hehe (excuse the red bonnet - work in progress)
  20. Ive got a K&N universla filter fitted but may go for standard airbox with K&N element instead. remove N/S headlamp too for better breathing
  21. suspension it bog standard gonna put rear bags up to 40psi and front down to 10-15psi in an attempt to combat weight shifting ditching all bar the dash and 2 front seats its like having my nova back again lol
  22. yeh i was just going to put a bit in at a time to keep weight down ive not long had the car and im just interested to see what time i can get
  23. Im going to try everything possible to get a good time at crail 1/4 mile on sunday. Has anyone ever used a fuel additive such as an octane booster? My SR is basically standard so im aiming for high 17's Plans are: Fit JDM inlet manifold 20litre jerry can of V-power Bottle of octane booster Slick/semi-slick tyres Disconnect power steering Strip interior Any other ideas?
  24. Ive got a white EP91 SR and was wondering whats thebest to get a good shine out of it? Ive got G3 polish etc so im guessing that will be a good start i was thinking - G3 it all over, then a good coat of wax (mequires etc etc) answers on a postcard please ta muchly
  25. give the bonnet a good coat of lacquer and a good polish and its should blend in better. as long as the rest of that car is kept polished too...
