younggun yep thats helped but as you said the bottom hose should get warm after abit of driving, it dosent, you think it might be a faulty thermostat i baught? its a genuine toyota one! tbh i didnt think it was normal to get that hot that fast as im not used to it because its been funny ever since i had the car! i havent checked the anti freeze but i have topped it up, il have a look round in the light tommorrow for pinholes or any patches on the rad cheers josh im just a worry pants ;) gotta figure out what this engine management light is for then!

noo didnt bleed it but topped it up with more water and anti freeze, should i try flushing it? and no spills as i changed the thermostat thursday, cheers josh standerd rad cap but it looks clean to me lol

allrite guys i think im having problems with my lil starbo! i reacently changed the thermostat as my temp gauge wouldent work and when i installed an after market temp gauge it was all over the place and i didnt really have any heating inside the car! but since i changed it I've noticed my car gets hot fast! like within 5 mins of driving the needle on the clocks is at half point ( whatever that is ) the other day my engine management light came on and i thaught it was fuel cut but it did it again when i was only at 0.5 bar of boost? so 2nite I've just opended my bonnet and the radiator is red hot, top rad hose is red hot! but the bottom is ice cold? im sure the radiator is not ment to have smoke coming off it :L any ideas? cheers josh

chesh is a top bloke! he has helped me out now by sending stuff like injector seals and hub bolts out to me for free, as steve said, heart of gold (y)

as much as id love to sticker bomb the whole dash i dont think I've got enough jobs to put do it!! but im looking into buying some im going to be doing the door cards and under the steering wheel and the gear stick surround and around the cup holders but thats all , i dont want to overkill it with the whole dash becasue i dont want you to be able to see it from outside the car lol want my car looking mean from the outside and very JDM on the inside neways now the weather has warmed up i was able to give my car a much needed clean! also put my winter wheels on wich came off my sisters corsa they look nicer on mine lol what you guys think? my wedssports are up for sale as im going for some real JDM wheels for the summer! cheers josh

i mean it was ice cold, and im not sure there was any water in it, and i did givr it a little boot in first gear but it hasnt come on in this weather before when I've given it a boot, my top hose was very hot aswell and the heaters was very warm, you think it will be ok? im just a worryer lol cheers tho luke

okay guys I've just changed my thurmostat as i had no heating in the car and my temp gauge didnt work, but not I've put a new thermostat in and the heaters started working and the gauge started working, but just driving back from some shopping 2nite the engine management light came on?? so i looked under the bonnet and felt the bottom rad hose and its cold??? is it ment to be?? just a little worried ... cheers josh
