What colour do they light up?
You can change the bulbs. There's none in them at the moment as they didn't come fitted new
I'll double check when I'm home what size bulb they take and see if I can pick some up if it'll make them more sellable

on ebay polo 6n :) 170£ small modification kneaded
I'd say they would be worth a punt, a lot of guys on the micra owners club rate them fairly high for the price. They'll never be in the same league as BC's or Meisters but for the price of them always worth a shot

What did you use to get the paint off the wheels mate? Looks effective in that picture
looks like it was done with nitromors
-
got my bro to snap a pic for you
muchas gracias! Did they cost much to have knocked up?
-
Lovely little SR mate, pity it's on cut springs, looks mean on the deck! Speedline alloys are the job too, would love a set for mine

Would corolla brake lines be the same? Plenty of drum brake kits for 1.3 saloons with drums on ebay and the likes
-
Contact HEL, they will make you a pair up for the rear ( you don't need to send them old lines), I have them going from the chassis of the car to the axel.
I will get a photo if it's not chucking it down tomorrow
spot on bud, be great if you could.
Seems custom lines are the way forward, must nab some from the scrappies to save any down time
We don't do that kit currently, but as you say we could supply braided versions of any lines you send us?
Thanks, like mentioned above, need to try get some spares to avoid any down time
-
As above. Does anyone offer a set of braided kit for N/A's with drum brakes or would it be best to just send the lines off to be copied?

While reading through the thread just now and you mentioned getting rid of the advans, I'll admit I was a little disappointed but no way was I disappointed with the replacements, quite possibly one of my favourite wheels. Rpf01's just suit any car!

Do the astra discs need machining at all?
With the The D4d discs do you need the spacer under the disc between the hub face? Hence the reason for the extended studs im guessing.
Once you have that you are good to go.
Astra discs need machining off the inner diameter of the bell and the inner face of the bell if that makes sense. I keep reading that d4d discs are a bolt on jobbie, must need spacers if they need extended studs too, need to do some reading
-
I could have told you that. My corolla has 256mm brakes stock and has 14's lol I just wasnt sure corolla calipers bolted up.
What discs are you going to use?
If only I'd have thought to ask lol
Was told 1.2 astra discs are the least headache to use so think I'll use those.
Although for the little extra headache now of swapping in longer studs while I have spare hubs on the bench, I could always just run d4d discs instead. Easier in the long run.

So a bzg 255mm brake setup will clear 14" steel wheels ;)

Awesome build. Don't think I'd have the stones to sand a carbon bonnet lol
-
Pretty cool build, love the c pillar brace!
-
Amazing car! Nothing nicer than are car built for a purpose and actually used!
-
Speedy gear changes are only as fast as you want them lol , I actually found it to make the changes clumsy and easier to miss a gear, works better on linkages not cables
Have to say I'd be of a similar opinion.
Any cars I've driven with them are just annoying and too close. Constantly missing gears. Find I can be quite rapid with stock shifter after a little practice

Bump

A lot of work gone into this build, much respect!! Will all pay off in the end for you
-
As above, fully aware that these are hard come by so don't mind a bit of a wait. Cash waiting.
Based in Ireland so must be willing to ship
-
Sorted. Can be locked now

The end links where alfa romeo links, they are quite thick so where cut, extended and welded back. There are longer links about that you could use but youd have to look into it. The bushing brackets are the ones of the transit and u clamps over the axle bolted through the brackets.
Gent! Cheers for the info
-
What details do you want? theres not much to them..
What you got the end links off of and the brackets to hold.to the rear beam if you could.
-
yeah you still need to buy the clamps and stuff... you should be able to get a transit connect arb for £20..
Any pictures or more details please?

What did I say? You won't get anywhere near the performance of the top range stuff but for the price you can't go wrong. Never once recommended he buy BC'S or Meisters or any of the "top end" cpilovers
