hello mate, they will fit fine mate just the edge by the pillar needs smoothing off spoke to other people who have them and said they had the same problem and me being me i expected them to fit straight on, as you have seen my build thread you can see everything has to be bob or nothing and i maybe being a bit to fussy, also im not bothered if they sell or not really as i will use them sometime, just thought i would put them up for sale to free some space as they are still in box so dont get damaged, did you want some close up photos of them fitted so you can see?
hereford mate
can post!
okay mate no worries, please PM me your best price posted within UK.
-
interested but i thought you said in your thread that these didn't fit very well???
-
just go for it mate
-
Is a sign from the ep gods that you should of gone with the yoko A048
yeh, they only offer a 50 profile though and they are in excess of £1000 for a set vs toyo.... they will be abit better but i don't think they will be worth twice the price ( give or take ) / twice as good as the 888 but we will see in time

hold on, just seen the image and looks like the fuckers have sent me the wrong tyres!!!!!!
-
nothing major to update as still awaiting to hear back from a couple of people but in the interim these have arrived......
finally arrived after shipping from japan...
and after many many debates on tyres I have chosen these....
hardly anyone does a decent width 15" tyre so limited on choice, sidewalls of 888 aren't meant to be great and they app. go off after 3/4 hot laps but I will give them a try and see how i get on!

I couldn't agree more with your last paragraph ref lag - just needs to be relative. If lag is what your after then you have achieved what you want.. In it's current state it won't be at all decent around Anglesey. It's strange as you say you going to go for uk power record then say want to take it around a circuit I.e Anglesey... You have 2 completely different goals.. Confusing. There is a common denominator in builds where people don't get the results they want, it's a shame but be interesting to see if anyone else can work it out...
-
Also agreed with above just going for max power is being a bit of a bender and having it as a dick lengthing tool.. Won't be as quick or usable around a circuit for example or on the road as a very well set up 280-300bhp car.
-
Shouldn't be a problem, something is wrong. I used to have a set of 282's and let's not forget db's 82 was running a set on td06 no problems.... And your gtx should be spooling quicker than that!
Also, Unless I am greatly mistaken it looks like you are in desperate need of some tyres.

Heres some of the frames i got of Mikes '82 last Sunday at TOTB. Thought id share. The full set is also on my Facebook page if anyone wishes to view them. http://www.fb.com/robfisherphotographic - if your feeling generous give us a like!

great work dude!!!! some amount of wiring removed!!!
Phil.
Cheers bud, its pretty surprising how much that bag of wiring and sound deadening added up too! Should of weighed it tbh!
-
Shouldn't be too difficult mate all the wiring you need runs to the unit.. Any reason why you didn't get an adaptor for the standard head unit wiring?? You will have to trace the wire back, it maybe an issue with the power but also quite likely it could be the ground causing the problem.i know this off topic, but you do you have a clue where the power to the stereo wiring occurs? i can't really explain, but i've blown no fuses and tried to wire a cassette player by chopping off the original adaptors and hard wiring to the loom, now i've tested with a voltage meter and no power is going to any unit i wire up whatsoever.
-
Yes was a pretty long day for rob, wiring is not my strong point and Christ it was hot today! Cant wait to get the cage sorted!
