  2. I'm after a decent set of Speedlines, no buckles or horrendous curbing. Black or original preffered. I'll do a swap with cash my way too for my 4 Rota Slipstreams.
  3. ah, actually thats a lot more work than i though. the whole rear quarter has been pushed forward. that'll be a write off for sure mate if you go through the insurance
  4. thats'll pop out mate. Bit of Paintless Dent Removal is all you need
  5. no way, thats mega shit. ye get pictures up. i'd keep the car and just put it back to standard and sell the extras.
  6. i have no idea why my comment posted 3 times. weird. 9mm you say. i reckon i could do that. I've got2 spare carpets so i can even make it look original.
  7. If it was me. i wouldn't declare it. They're not going to make any difference to the safety of the vehicle unless the parts weren't fitted properly. It's a bit of a grey area as some people would argue that you should declare. I have a K&N panel filter in my air box, i'm not declaring that, and that's arguably a performance modification. My Lexus IS200 had a factory fitted TRD body kit and factory fitted window tints. I didn't declare any of it as to begin with i didn't know what the car came with or had added. In court i can't see them arguing that i should have declared it if it rolled out of the factory like it. The SR's have lowering springs, spoiler and Speedline's and i can bet you many people haven't declared those parts. Yes it says SR on the logbook but how do insurers know whats factory and what isnt? Anybody could buy a car and not know that certain parts were aftermarket/factory fitted/optional extra. Alloys are another one, how do you know if a car is meant to have steels or alloys if its had 10 owners? how do you know what size they were meant to be or the tyre size they were meant to run? I suppose though that if you didn't know then you didn't know, theres a difference if you know full well the car isnt standard but insure it as standard. I think its very wrong when people insure their glanza as a 1.3 non turbo. I think its debatable, i would probably declare it if i was worried about the value of the parts when it came to a claim, but, would anyone tell their insurance if they replaced a bumper like for like? i doubt it. so telling them about a starlet glanza bumper on a starlet i wouldnt have thought anybody would really give a fuck and i cant see how it would make any difference to an insurer at all. Some people will say declare every item on your car that isnt OE. Or anything that isnt OE spec. But i wouldn't declare an Iridium spark plug or an LED interior bulb. The choice is yours mate i suppose. i might sound like a right hypocrite and i might sound like ive contradicted myself but im just trying to put a bit of both sides in there
  8. If you're after new alloys mate then I've got some rota slipstreams for sale. I'm selling them to fund a set of 5 speedlines in good nic
  9. Looks awesome. I need speedlines on my red na. I want black though. How difficult was the boot build? I want to do the same. Looks awesome. I need speedlines on my red na. I want black though. 10. How much you selling it for mate?
  11. If they're genuine toyota parts or oem or optional extra I don't declare them.
  12. That's shit news mate. I don't really understand why it would make a massive difference to the insurance price.
  13. ye some can be direct fit like mine were, but some starlets dont have the holes for the pins to sit in. i found that loosely fitting opposite corners first was the best way to go.
  14. nice TTE backbox purchase. i recently got one too.
  15. gt seats are so comfy aren't they?
  16. oops... ive bought back a bumper i sold back in january from my old SR/Glanza build
  17. oops might be purchasing a 98 front bumper very very soon ready for paint
  18. ye mate. i'll keep an eye out for a glanza bootlid i reckon. rather do that than worry about sawing away at my n/a bootlid
  19. yes mate, keeping it red. i think the red glanzas look great if done right, my favourite colour for them. i'm just gona go for a 98 spec kit i reckon. not too fussed on aftermarket kits, especially if its staying n/a for the time being
  20. I went up to Wednesbury at the weekend as i was after a replacement bootlid, a friend up there had some super cheap parts and his mate also had some free parts. this i what i managed to get. all at a cost of £40! Bootlid has had the lock removed and isn't quite smooth, but its better thn my dented one as i think it was letting in water. The Glanza bumper needs smoothing/filling as its warped from a hot exhaust and it needs a bit of repair to one of the bolt holes and then paint. I also got a Glanza rear spoiler in silver which will again, obviously need paint. I want a Glanza number plate recess but i'm not sure wether to just buy a Glanza bootlid as i don't fancy cutting into it to fit it. But that's the rear end nearly there once all the bits have been repaired/painted. Now to source a Glanza front end and skirts! Excuse the wheel mismatch. my tyres havent arrived yet
  21. So i had to get rid of the crazy loud backbox. it was just driving me insane. it might have been ok had the silencer not been removed form the centre section. So i set out to put my TTE backbox on and i went to eurocarparts and bought a replacement centre section. £30 for a new centre section isnt bad. after messing about with lining it up etc i ended up with this... not ideal but at least the exhaust was all on and fitted. the replacement clamp for the backbox to centre section was to small, well the bolts were anyway so i had o bodge it on with some metal cable tie things for now until i can get to Toyota parts department. Anyone noticed the interior update too?? GT seats, picked them up for £40 the pair, didnt mind the 2 hour drive to get them, they feel much better. i'll get better pictures
  22. right i have some updates on this from the weekend. nothing major but here goes...
  23. saw you on sunday evening i think it was. Had square plates, we exchanged headlight flashes
  24. nice boot build there mate. i'd love to do that but i dont think i have the patience to figure out measurements etc
