okay enzo, how much extra would i be looking at to get it registered, taxed and mot'd? this is really getting the thinking cogs going in the grey matter!

cheers for that enzo, thats certainly given me alot to think about, i do like the looks of the 82 aswel, i jus dont seem to see many of them around for sale. now you've let me in on the performance secret it has become alot more appealing so will that be around the 1200 mark on the road or is that not on the road? thanks again fella, this forum is really helpful

yeh ive started a thread about the 1.3 N/A performance. what have you done to yours and what gains are you seeing?

thanks ste, thats what i need in my life, something reliable, i will be putting the 3rd gearbox in the pug 206 in a week or so, then i can sell it and get into the starlet scene. ill need to do some proper research into what suspension i can get to bolt onto it, im sure you lot on here will help me out, you've all been a great help already, deffinatley swung me to buying one now

tbh, i just want a nice little nippy car around town, not really fussed about top end, i like a nice handling car, low and arb's is the way forward for slower cars i find. twisty roads are far more exciting to drive on than motorways and dual carriageways.... it will be my 4th car. ive owned a 1.0L 12v corsa 1.9 DTurbo pug 306 1.4 8v pug 206 fancy something jap and i think starlets can look awesome! and it seems cheaper to insure than my current 206 thanks fellas, your helping me out, keep it coming Jarvis

Hello all, as some of you may know im new to the forum and havnt actually got a starlet yet although im looking for an N/A ep91 i think. i was just wondering what the performance is like in the little 1.3 and how it would compare to my peugeot 206 1.4 8v. all comments and views welcome, just want to get an idea of what to expect really. thanks JARVIS

cheers bigman, what are imports like for insurance though? im only 20 and have 3 points with no noclaims and i live in Oldham, one of the worst insurnce postcodes :/ also im only going to have around 1300 to spend you see.

thanks for all the wlcomes people! now this is a nice forum. to be honest i was just looking through the likes of pistonheads and ebay for starlets up for ale and though. hmmm a starlet forum might have some up. so a quick google search later and here i am thanks for the advice enzo and bigman i shall keep my eyes peeled. need to get a gearbox fitted in my 206 and get it sold soonish!!

Hello everyone at UK starlet club, My names Martin Jarvis im 20 years young and live in Oldham, just outside of manchester. i currently drive a 1.4 8v peugeot 206 which is causing me no end of problems. looking for another gearbox for it then its getting sold on. I am now looking for a 1,3 non-turbo starlet, possibly an SR? so i thought id join the respective forum and see whats going on. I am also a member on Kroozin North West (KNW) brilliant club for anyone from the northwest. so i think ill go and have a look around your club site for a while
