That's interesting nastyrash. Will have to look at my heads when I get home. I have three in my work shop ;)
-
Can't get a pic up mow on me IPhone ;)
-
Yer the top cover. You get silver and black ones.
-
I've only seen the silver timing top cover engines in the early GT's, you do get the black cover engines in the later ones and they have match stick rods like the glanza.
-
My gt engine with the silver timing cover has the thicker rods in. Made a right mess of the black top timing cover engine when that went. Left me with a hole front and back. The middle of the rod missing. The gudgen pin snapped off the piston. Found it in the sump with the top of the rod ;)

Bet it's not as bad as my engine loosing comp. I lost the middle of the conrod? Bits of the block front and back :-) and the piston skirt? Strip it down and see what's wrong before you break just incase it's an easy fix :-)

If you change the drive shaft seals use the old seal and the drive shaft to nock the new seal in. It's goes in nice and square that way.

My gear box is wet with oil. It's my rear main leaking tho.

I wouldn't bother trying to free the cables up. your best off buying a pair of new ones and be done with it.

I was running my stock ecu without the stock tps sensor. The idle bad a bit hight that's it really. You should be able to use any true tps sensor on the ultimate if it has inputs for it. I run a Saab sensor on my standalone.
-
You want proper oil grade elbow. Shouldnt have a problem. I no people. Who don't even run clips on the pipe. Would look over all your breathers as well.
-
I use the innovate lc-1. Its for my standalone setup but has two out puts you can set to what you want. You could use one for the stock ecu narrow band. And a wideband out put for gauge. Then you use one hole. Not sure about the other makes.

Shame the livesport fenders were for a 91. No good for my ep82. Was a sad day taking the fenders off shortys car. Glad to see them go to a good home tho. Keep them original. Any one want the rest of shorts car. Offers welcome. Don't want it in my drive to long lol

I run the celica twins on mine the the ae111 twins are the same pads if that helps. Ferodo STD pad number is fdb928 if that helps.
-
Carina 2.0 gti pads fit from around the 97 year. Try looking for those pads.
-
Use lots of grease when fitting then. A dry seal will burn out in no time!
