· Remove dials from car, ie: remove surround, unclip Speedo mechanism, and the three plugs. Do the following on both sets of dials · Unclip the bottom clips, making sure they are the black ones and not the clear ones. · If the dials keep closing, use a screwdriver to keep the bottom apart while unclipping the top ones. · Unscrew the two large gold screws, these are the ones surrounding the Speedo mechanism. · Unscrew the two smaller silver screws to the right if them (see pic) · Carefully remove needle, I found using a screwdriver was eas

If like me the solida clocks are not straight plug and play, and that the other sportif guides dont work then hopefully this will. *IF TRYING TO REMOVE DIALS, PLUGS ETC, USE MONKEYS PASEO HOW TO FIRST* First heres two spreadsheets showing what plug goes where on both cars, then ill explain the changes that need to be made. I found these out by tracing and following the circuit on the back (took a bit of time..lol) First the soldia Now the SR Now the changes that need to be made Changes to the 13 pin brown plug · Unplug both Temp E (9) and T (10) from the 13 pin plug ÂÂ

jesus, wow thats a lot of info, thanks for the responce. in the end i just traced and did my own wiring diagram as none of the others were working for me (this was on the clocks not the loom) and had to join a few wires and link some others. but it all works now so its allll goood STARLET N/A i tried using the other guides but for some reason they didnt match what i had on the back of my dials, ill put my how to up aswell soon. frikin eventually got the SR dials into the solida possibly the most complex thing ever...lol. so odd as a few other solidas have had SR dials fit in straight. ill do a how to for it in a bit, but it involves joining wires, and all sorts, anyway it all works now and its cool seeing the revs bounce and and the needles are soo much better got a few ideas, going to play with the old binnicle soon pics 2mz -
awsome!!! i love the look of that engine. bet its not too slow either!!!
-
dam i wish mine were! doesnt matter now they were a bugger to fit, but i got it done
-
mines lowered on -40 P.Is. ive only done springs, they can be a little bouncy, and make the car grind on a lot but it looks soo much better lowerin the paseo on -60? are you mental? i know you dont drive yet but when you do you may regret that!...will look dam kool tho
-
sorry to keep on about the dials. wondering if anyone knows where else i can take a wire to get the reading from the tacho. someone mentioned the loom, where is it etc thanks Tom
-
ok cheers. did he seem to have any trouble when fitting them?
-
its very odd, im giving it another go this afternoon, maybe ill ahve some luck. the rev counter its not working at all though
-
dont worry, i wouldnt want someone giving my number out if hes sees it then he sees it otherwise it doesnt matter. Thanks anyway Tom
-
Hey saw you had problems with your rev counter, how did you sort it out?
-
haha, yer hadnt noticed him around much tbh. totally forgot he has done the conversion. if you could talk to him itd be great.
-
looking good, like the mirrors loads. PMd you a question about your dials with the vinyl, how tough is it going to be to take off, after being in the sun for this long....not that it needs to come off, because it looks good.
-
ok thanks for looking guys. spent all day in the car with several guides and had no luck.... the solida is different. well unless there is a problem with the dials. in the end managed to get temp, left/right indicators, fog, illumination...thats it though. have actually been in my car all day. ive got the guide thats in excel now so il give that a try, however i really need someone who has a solida and has done the conversion. anyone else had lots of problmes when putting new dials into the car, especially with the tacho etc Cheers Tom
