Yeah Gizzmo's are pretty good and alot of people go for them. It's worth looking around for one on here. Like i said i bought the ms-ibc for £100, half price and in full working condition.
The ibc are good, and will do the job, i'm sure i saw one for sale not so long ago, i'll see if i can find it.
-
Boost controller won't fix it, it should help stabalize it, and it'll show you what boosting (althought your boost gauge will be accurate).. look for a gizmo boost controller. I paid £100 for my ms ibc. There's usually a few flloating around the forum.
I don't really know why it's going up and down soo much though :S
-
Yeah they're meant too as the stock springs become week/stretched over time. I'm not too sure why changing that has made your boost go all over the place if everything before was okk? How old is the actuator? If its second hand the spring could be a fubard and not opening/closing the wastegate properly
-
Do you have relocated air filter to front grill? If soo it could be boost creep as the wastegates not allowing the gases out as quick as the air is sucking in? You can either port your wastegate which i did using a dremmel... and getting a boost controller will help stabalize it so you can set it to certain bar/psi you wish too.
Not 100% if this is correct from just fitting an actuator but i'm sure someone else with more knowledge will confirm/not confirm

Good luck although im hoping you don't truthfully
. I don't want you sell up! We've had some laughs with them !

Hey,
As the title says really. I get a knocking noise whilst going round roundabouts, and right turns in genera (coming from left side only)l. I've had a loook around and seems like my track rod ends are worn. Would this be causing the problems? What else is there you can suggest for me to check?
I also noticed that my disc isn't held on to the hub at all, untill the wheel goes on and locks it. Is this normal, there looks to be a hole for a bolt to go through in the disc, but nothing on the hub itself?
Many thanks
Ps , where would be best/cheapest to buy a set of track rod ends? I want to replace these anyway.

I miss the Box, i got the 3 red rings and cba to fix it, the xbox is all ready apart to be done but just cbb to sort the x plates out. Does anyone have an xbox for sale, or can fix it for me locally?
I will purely just need the xbox as i have wires/hardrive etcc. Wanna try and get it sorted so i can play online again, and want to get battlefield 3 and the new COD.

Any news on what you want to do Billy SR?
We're also a full bodyshop, we have 2 BMW main dealers, Volkswagen, and Audi, so the work is outstanding, known to be the best in the area. If anyone needs anything done let me know and we can sort something out.
We're located in Woking, Surrey.

Car is looking amazing as usual mate! Liking the White calipers alsoo, did you get the idea from anywhere (Ace Cafe)
. Personally i think they look great white, a few people told me not to do it but they do look smart!
I'm in love with your car!
-
Ollie - Were they the green ones you had in your garage? i'll try find the picture in your build thread, what page is it? and i'll take it in and tell him you want colour change with diff colour lip.
Billy SR - Yeah if you chuck a picture up we can have a look. I think it'd be best if you did have another set of wheels, or could leave the car with us. We'd most likely have them ready for the next day?
-
I can tell my boss tomorrow and get a price, i think it's £45 a wheel he charges... Have you got any pics of them you can send me, and what colour etcc?
-
I work for a bodyshop who do alloy refurbs, if they're too bad we send them to our other shop who specialize in just alloys??
We're in St Johns, Woking. Let me know if you need more details of where we are etcc.

I took my clocks apart today and replaced one of the LED bulbs as it was blown. As i took the temperature needle off to get the dials out i dropped it behind the dash and can't find it... So i need one of these if anyone has one laying about (It's an orange needle) ? I also think my fuel gauge is now set incorrect, as its reading low, but no fuel light has come on. Does anyone know the best way of puting the needles back on in the correct positions (temp and fuel)??
Help would be appreciated, i hate having little niggly things like that wrong with my car
Thanks alot , Tobie

Small updates, and MOT day!
15/06/2011 - Got my manifold back and fitted it in the evening after work. It actually ended up going to Maclaren in Chertsey to be skimmed as a family friend machines parts for the race cars.
Seemed to have sorted the problem (maybe a minute blow) but gonna wait too see if the carbon etc blocks it up...
17/06/2011 - Got my new Toyo Proxes fitted ready for the MOT. One wheel got slightly damaged as they've been refurbed using wet paint, not powdercoat or two pack... Such a difference made, probably the best noticable performance gain!
.
18/06/2011 - MOT DAY. Well it was time for the MOT, it actually ran out about two weeks ago but gave me some time to sort a couple of things out and get it ready. Took it to (again) a family friends garage. Had spoke to him prior to the day about the de-cat, and he said not too worry we'll sort that. gave him some pocket money and *no emissions test*
The car passed with no adviosories.
Gonna fit my Gizzmo ms-ibc boost controller today - thanks to LeeG. And new gear knob from Starbuck. Both great guys to deal with. I'll get pics later and if i decide to clean it.

It was just on the news. Was seen in Kent/South East London. It only has a 20literes fuel tank so i can imagine it's had to be filled up a few times since Santa Pod...

.

Same boat as me mate, i found one for £315 delivered from Hong Kong. But im thinking of getting one from Ebay and just getting the custom hot pipe from RWdevelopments when his are ready... ?
-
That is an amazing car mate, well done!!
-
Yoo, not much of an update really, kind of going backk again - too go forward
My Zisco mild steel manifold was blowing like an absolute bitch, the noise it was making was soo frustrating. As my car now has no MOT it gave me some time to sort it outl. So i finished work and cracked on with taking the manifold, turbo, and downpipe off this evening.
Heres some pics of doing it :
and
some of how much it is out by:
Taking it to an engineering shop so they can machine it flat, it's about an 8th of an inchh.
Alos new Toyo Proxes T1R's arrived Wednesday after only ordering them Monday evening from Camskill. They should be going on this weekend hoopefully for the MOT next

Just gave this track a go for the first time, and with this car as you buy it with no tuning setups as i can't get online atm...
Assists:
Autobrake - Off
ABS - On
Stability - Off
Traction - On
Shifting - Manual
Suggested Line - Off
Damage - Sim
08.00.654
Is this any good? i crashed a couple of times on 1st lap so no doubt decreased the HP...
Can someone write down the tuning setup for me so i can give it a go.
Cheers
