  1. Welcome mate, think i met you down Ladymead in Guildford a few months back with the other V 'Ralphy'.

Good to see your trying to sort it, i remember you telling me all the problems you had with it! Hope you get it all sorted.

    p.s i'm with sky insurance, tpft, 2years ncb, 20years old and i paid £1400 :D

  2. Quite happy with the meet last night, alot more starlets then i thought would be there which is good to see!

I was one of the white V's, with the WRC blue wheels, and Ralphy the other, Cheeers for saying they were so clean :D.

We spoke to sanchez, jayep91, and ollie454, (i think)?? Was good to meet you! All very nice cars, some inspiration for mine :D haha

    Cheers Tobie

  3. Ahh right okk, well i have an air filter but unsure about the make. So i'll be looking to get a new one when i get the relocation kit so it fits haha. Does anyone know about bad effects from doing this without the supporting mods, or go ahead with it and see if there is any creep or fuel cut...?

    Cheeers, Tobie

  4. Ahh right, i've seen on some that people have put the silicone hose from the turbo, not the metal piping, if i connected the metal piping to the turbo and silicone hose to the air filter would this not get it into an 'ok' position? As im sure if i had measured the inside diameter correctly the metal pipe would be near enough 51mm? Any info on the boost creep etcc ? ;)

    Thanks for the reply :o

  5. Hey guys, i removed my air con today, everything went fine and the car felt more responsive/powerful, whether this was physcological who knows ;).

I was happy with everything untill i came across this broken wire, http://img862.imageshack.us/i/img00415201103121424.jpg/

I have no idea whether this was like this before i started, or caused from me doing the removal... Does anyone know what this is/does??

Also i was given this air filter relocation pipe when i got the car, can anybody help me and tell me whether it would fit or not before i take it all apart? And if i do put it on, will i get any boost creep or fuel cut or anything? I have no other mods to the engine apart from air-con removal, baileys dump valve and hi/lo boost solenoid by-pass....

  6. Many thanks, you guys are great. I just needed it all to be clarrified : )

So if i was to get Standalone ECU, would the increase in BHP be the same if i was to get and emanage mapped? Or would the emanage mapped show alot more of an increase?

What do you guys recommend for the mods that i'll be doing?

And yeah that was me Ryan, how did it all go in the end? How come you didn't go to bluewater jap meet?

Thanks for all the help. Tobie

  7. Hey all!

I've been reading about Fuel Cut on the forums... I'm looking to upgrade mani, de-cat, FMIC, relocate air filter and increase boost to safe level for stanard CT9 (0.85 isn't it)?

To prevent fuel cut, and to get the best out of the mods, im looking to get a piggyback ECU (Jam), is it correct that these can't be mapped or have i miss-understood something along the way?

If it can be mapped, would i need to get a Fuel Cut defender, or would the re-map sort this out? If not would the best option be en emanage ECU?

As much help and info as possible would be much appreciated!

    Cheers.
