whats the spec on engine and gearbox and milage etc? very interested if you can sell engine, gearbox and all ancillaries together, after everything for 4efte conversion.

whats the easiest to use. should i just get a glanza interior loom and speedo or splice in the engine loom to my original interior loom? cheers harry

500 for engine with ancillaries (obvs no turbo or mani but everything else) and gearbox? just need as much as possible with it as im doing an engine conversion so dont want too many bits missing if that makes sense lol

update, got glanza front seats in now, getting rear bench and door cards in next few days and a new door to replace my dented one. now for the most important news.... Decided to got for a 4efte conversion, cant come to sell this car to get a faster one so why not make this one faster. so after all bits needed for the conversion, drop me a message if youve got any looms,ecu, engine and gearbox and dials....

roof is just a buggar to spray mate, and bonnet can easily be replaced if i dont like it and on the roof you cant see it very well aha.

im after everything needed for the engine swap on my sr. after looms, ecu, engine and gearbox preferably low mileage and quite standard with little mods. get back to me! getting bits together over the next few months ready to drop in around september time when i get 2 years no claims cheers harry

for people who have done the engine conversion, what insurance company are you with? how old and how many no claim? need to workout if i can get insured etc before i do it.

i will definately declare it to insurance, not worth the risk. dont want a gt turbo, glanza would be better but the insurance on a glanza is rediculously expensive, 3-4k with admiral but a gt turbo with admiral is only 1600. strange. my brother is with adrian flux modified policy for his modded old mini, will give them a try.

right, seriously considering investing my student loans on a conversion, cant come to part myself with my starlet to get another faster car (brother audi a3 1.8 turbo). my question is how do i go about insuring it and declaring it? ive heard gt turbos are cheaper to insure, im with admiral muilticar at the moment, should i ring them and say im thinking of putting a gt turbo engine in it and see if they will insure it for the same amount as a gt turbo? and what about the dvla? do i need to tell them or not?. thanks harry.

those mirrors look good! how did you friend go about making adapters? fibreglass? or...?

update, havent been on here for a while, but foglights are in, wheels on, HIDS in. dont think anything else, still waiting for spring so i can spray the bits of body work. enjoy

awesome sleeper mate. getting all the bits together for my conversion at the moment. gt engine and loom and splice it in. but engine is off an auto one so not sure if i will run into any problems. keep up the good work!

right im days away from picking up a ep82 complete engine with loom etc and its the old engine (thicker rods). however its out of a automatic car, i want to use it for an engine conversion on my ep91 sr. what will i need to change or what problems will i encounter if i use this engine. help people.....

just wondering what bits from the 4efte i need for the engine swap. can i use n/a ignition coil etc. what ancillaries do i need from the 4efte apart from loom? another topic but need advice! engine swap is iminent!

servicing car soon and wanted to know best way to clean a k and n style air filter ( not panel). ive heard petrol is a good cleaner? any advice would be grateful

another update: car passed mot but had to have cv boot changed. got 98 fogs, bieng fitted asap. oh and a little teaser of my refurbed speedlines

thinking of engine swapping my starlet sr to 4efte. firstly is it worth the hastle and money? and what would be needed? brother is a mechanic so im sure he can do the swap for me with a bit of persuasion. any help would be much appreciated people, i dont know where to start!
