Hi there, Ive mounted my engine into the bay now and ive taken a picture of the angle, please tell me if they are fine because thats as far as the engine will go back without touching the subframe.

I got a spare head too and also a few from a 4efe engine but i dont think any will match, I guess i have to measure all the spre shims i have and then go from there. Cheers

Hi everyone ive had my glanza since 2011, I done a forge rebuild in 2015 and ever since ive had this annoying tapping and rattling sound, Ive tried numerous times to diagnose it but havent got anywhere. Ive tensioned the camshaft sprocket, checked valve clearances and adjusted a couple of them, checked the camshaft for any damage but nothing was found, its getting annoying now as i drive it daily to work. My engine specs are Wiseco pistons, Scat rods All acl bearings including big end And the head was just cleaned relapped valves and put everything back in order. I want to map it soon but i

Im after a pair of driveshafts as mine are knackered and one side keeps clunking and clicking when lifting off and changing gears.

Yes they are fine.. Polybushed one are fitted, Forgot to mention i got a cusco lower arm brace which is very close to the exhaust, It can be exhaust touch but i dont know

My glanza has been making a knocking sound when I accelerate or when i change gears, Like the knock happens when engine in moving forward or backwards, It also happens in reverse when i put it into clutch and lift to reverse.

I sorted it out, Had to take the gearbox off again and open it up, The 2nd selector rod was placed wrong facing the wring direction not alowing the two ball bearings to switch and select 5th. What a headache..

I fitted the two balls already, And that spacer washer.. Does the 5th gear components need to be fitted in a certain direction? Because i just made sure that the gear keys and synchro grooves match so that the keys can slide down into the synchro.

I replaced the bearings in my gearbox and now i put everything back together but i havent got 5th gear, Ive got 1-2-3-4 and reverse but the 5th wont engage. Does the 5th gear and synchro fit in one direction? I maybe have fiddled around with it when pressing it on.

I found out where the washer goes now everythings fitted i started the car i got 1-2-3-4 but no 5th gear, have reverse too. I fink i done something wrong with the gears or the syncro

Saying that i just checked and realised that i havent changed that bearing haha, It was missing in the kit now, ive messaged the seller hes going to send me one, yes and now i know the nipple your on about. Lucky that you spoke about it or i didnt have a clue that bearing needed changing.

Which plastic nipple? I didnt see any plastic nipple. Have you got a picture? I just used a dremel and cut two grooves into the bearing casing and a hit with a chisel cracks open the bearing and exposes the ball bearings, took them out and carefully made another groove on the bearing and again chisel then it just releases. I couldnt get my bearing puller under the bearing so had to do the hard way.

My glanza has recently started making a rumbling sound and vibration from the gearbox area, Ill be in 3rd gear cruising and when I accelerate around 40-50mph itll make a rumble sound and a vibration from the front passenger side. What can be causing this weird sound when under load? Can a worn synchro cause this, it goes into and out of gears fine and no odd sounds when doing so. My gearbox has always whined but i never used to drive it often, now that i do 40 miles a day its been getting used daily. I bought a gearbox bearing rebuild kit and im hoping the culprit is one of the bearings.
