  1. that would explain y then lol. might make a few calls see if they can be mapped, unless anyone else can shed some light on this?
  2. what is the difference between getting my current ECU mapped rather than buying a blitz ecu, or another make of ecu for my glanza? what makes the replacement ecu so much better? thanks.

    will a...

something isnt right there mate, next time i see you on a thursday drive mine and see if you can actually feel a difference? and if its massively different then it must be something with the ecu like you thought?
  4. i did'nt find a gearbox code as such, but i found a Trans/Axle number - 056-02A also it came from japan just the the suspension, HKS BB, HKS filter alloys and that was it.
  5. yea will do tyres asap as they only cheap on this car 4 good ones. i will get that code for later today will pop out soon n have a look. I'm fairly sure its both wheels have never had just one wheel spinning that i have noticed, used to be able to notice in the wet in previous cars.
  6. ok mate thanks for the help and yea its both wheels spinning rather than just one. the tyres are pretty average on there at the moment though.
  7. ok thanks for the help, how much would an aftermarket one be to install you think? as i do get allot of wheelspin when trying to start off fast.?
  8. oh yea sorry i forgot to mention it has a full suspension kit. what are anti-lift plates? where could i get one of those ECU's are'nt they import only? and i dont think i have a lsd, think they are stock on the newer glanza's only.
  9. i hope this has'nt been asked to much before, did a search and did'nt help though. want to get more power from my Glanza V 1996. so far the boost restriction on first and second has been removed, 110 mph limiter removed and gutted cat, straight through centre section with back box, so no mods in reality. price rang is about £500 for now. What would you guys recommend to increase its power?? also im not so interested in top end more acceleration. Thanks Neil
  10. dose it make much difference having the unit out?
  11. my HU was bolted in as said, easy to remove. if you need keys though, either do as scutch said or just take to halfords. It is free afterall. lol

    mot

to add to this, i actually went round a few local garages and they also state there is only an idle check.
  13. Take it to halfords, they remove for free.
  14. yea i see your problem, only thing you can do really is just see if you can get it off. if you can then its gonna be easy to gut it. If not then gut it while its on the car. good luck with it mate. if you have any problems just ask, or find it easy let me know lol.
  15. its alot easier to gut the cat off the car. but its getting it off the car. its all fairly simple untill you come to remove the 3 bolts at the top of the cat. you will need a knuckle joint to do so. also when removing the heat shield around the cat my bolts were very rusted and it needs to be a perfect fitting socket to remove and some are awkward as hell. make sure its a good 10mm socket. the problem i had/gave up on was there are two more bolts at the bottom of the upper section of the cat. there is a pipe in the way, a smaller knuckle joint than what i had would do the job im sure th
  16. pics from that meet look really good.

will be good to be at the next one.

  17. well i got the bolt off with mole grips in the end  how important would you say the heat shield is though? needed or could i leave it off?
  18. again that was one of my first thoughts, but you can only just get the socket on let alone room to hammer a slightly smaller one on how essential is the heat sheild? as i've heare that some people dont use them with proper decat pipes?
  19. a thought was to drill around the head of the problem bolt and just not use it, but you would'nt get a drill in there. you can barely get a spanner or socket on there.
  20. was going to gut my cat today as its going to be a few weeks before can buy a proper decat. cut a long story short one of the 10mm bolts that hold the heat shield on (top right, looking down into engine bay) got chewed up, and i cant get it off. also the top left bolt, which is very well hidden how am i going to get this off?
  21. thanks enzo thats great. i know what im looking at now then. think im gonna gut it tomorrow and then see if i can find a difference between a gutted cat and a proper decat. thanks again for the pics really help.
  22. thanks alot guys. one final thing would be to ask for a picture of the cat as im fairly sure what im looking for now, but picture would be perfect. also do i need to jack the front to do the job?
  23. had a look today under the car to see if its going to be easy to fit my decat when it arrives. and i could'nt find where the decat would bolt in? ? anyone know what to do? is it not a D.I.Y fitment? also been looking around and do i need and better wasgate once the decat is on?
  24. hey thought i'd post and see if the 3 starlet GT's i say at basildon last night were from here? was in the KFC car park around 12ish i think. . . .. . .
  25. thanks for the advice mate, will go down that road then. is that the one off TGTT because i wanted that one lol? i just dont have the money right now ????
