Ahh so your where the spare set went to! Always wondered what happens to it
Is mine the only spare set in the country then?
-
I have a whole set of running gear as spares, but would consider selling the gearbox for the right price ;)
-
I have a couple in south Cambridgeshire if you're interested?
-
I have one spare in south cambs (literally less than 5 mins from the essex border) if you're interested?
-
Will take these please Whereabouts is "AB" by the way lol
-
In the title mate, it's black
Oops - somehow missed that lol. Cheers anyway
-
What colour is the car? If it's white, how much for the bumpers and sideskirts, assuming they're in decent condition?
-
GLWS but if you do break it, can I have dibs on the optional door speaker pods? Cheers

A really good alternative to a sub is the vibe black death 6x9,
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/251424666947?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649
Have had them before and must say they really are the best that you can get without the need for an amp, however if you really want a sub and amp then best to go for a pretty good 10" like alpine type r, jl audio w3/4/5.
I have a 12" magnet sub that is sat in a type r 12" ported with an alpine v12 4ch amp bridged to give more power, have not got it in the SR yet as thinking of getting an under seat one as it will weigh 15 kilo's less, may put my sub/amp/box up for sale to get one!

I would personally avoid these speakers like the plague. I bought 2 pairs brand new, wired them up properly, turned them up to about 1/4 on the amp (so they were a decent listening volume, not particularly loud) and after 15 mins, they started pouring out smoke. There is no possibility that I wired them incorrectly, or exceeded the power ratings.
I then bought 2 pairs of Infinity Reference 6x9s and they have happily been running for years turned up a LOT higher...
This is only my experience, and perhaps I got extremely unlucky by having 2 pairs from the same "bad batch" but I would never touch these speakers again. Apart from this, Vibe stuff is generally quite good for the price although it is definitely towards the budget end of the market.

If you want a good Active Sub (i.e. has a built-in amplifier), I would recommend the Vibe CBR 12 Evo - good quality, ridiculous volume and reasonable price tag. Just don't bother with the twin one - incredible volume but sacrifices quality...

Hi guys,
I recently bought a Glanza to restore - it was bought by the previous owner for spares so is missing a few things...
I need:
Front & Rear Bumpers - White
Sideskirts - White
Rear Lights - It is a '96 model and I am not 100% sure if the lights all fit the same, but any that fit will do lol...
Parcel Shelf
If you have one or more of these bits, could you either post below or PM me with price and location?
Thanks!

This has now been sold to me

Just go to a scrap yard and take one off an ep80 which is the uk na version of an ep82. Suprised tbh as you have had this shell for donkeys years now. Was talkin to gaz about it at fest last year lol.
Can't you use a na one as they run drums
If the EP80s/na ones use the same handbrake setup as the EP85 instead of the EP82... but I think thats rather unlikely tbh since the 80/82 are the same chassis but the 85 is different.
N yeah, I've had the car for 2 years this month but havent got it on the road since all my money seems to go to the government.... should be sorted when my accident money comes through though
-
Just sent you an SMS
-
Thats good then... just need to sort this handbrake issue out.
Might try contacting gaz and see if he's still got it somewhere :fingers crossed:
-
Yeah, the fittings are nothing alike...
I dont think so... whats the difference?
What is the handbrake fitment like on non turbo EP82s with rear drums?
-
Heres the problem...
EP82:
EP85:
-
Yep, it is gaz's old one n I was hoping it wouldnt come down to having to get something fabricated
How much do u reckon one would be from toyota? Probably a couple hundred, I'm guessing lol
Looks like the cables might be different since the EP85 has 2 holes for the handbrake cables.
Are there any other bits I should know about? It has an external fuel tank by the way
Here's those strange brackets I mentioned:
-
Its just a shell with no handbrake or anything. N the ep82 one doesn't fit
-
Hi guys, I've spent the last couple of days taking apart my ep82 to fit everything into my ep85 shell but have encountered a bit of a problem.... the handbrake is completely different
I'm pretty sure that I was given the 4wd sump, but wasnt aware of any other parts that were different (aside from the drivetrain and rear brakes obviously).
The ep85 shell did also come with a couple of metal brackets I dont recognize - I will get some pics up shortly.
-
Last time I heard anything was when Enzo was telling me about a company in the US that he was talking to about them making LSDs.... did nothing ever happen with that?
-
black should be an option on the wheels, gaz had this car pretty much perfect looking
The car came with the black wheels on, but they just seem a bit dull to me, so was thinking of making them stand out a bit!
Monster stickers are gay, makes you look like you think youre Ken Block.
Honestly would look a lot better without it buddy.
But I AM Ken Block ;) lol. I probably won't put a monster sticker on, but I still liked it on my black EP82...
-
Do you all feel the same way about the green monster sticker on my old black EP82? (See post #3)
-
I voted white with no monster sticker. Is this the same ep85 that gaz owned? What is the spec now?
Yep, it's Gaz's old one. The spec now is no engine, 0 BHP. Flintstones power FTW!
I'm building up a forged 5e at the moment but can't afford the pistons or rods yet!
-
:'( The monster sticker is not getting much love....
I've added another question to the poll whether to have the sticker or not...
