Hi guys,
I wasn't sure which forum to put this in, but here goes... I've been playing around with a picture of my EP85 and want people's opinions on the wheel/graphic colour.
I was thinking Orange since it is the 'opposite' colour of the bodywork, so would stand out the most (in theory), but I quite like the red now... decisions decisions....
Vote and help me decide ;)

I just spent my lunchtime trying a couple of engineering firms, a garage and Pirtek.... nobody was able to even give me the tread sizes. so....
Can anybody please tell me the fitting sizes for:
- oil feed hole on a TD04/TD05 ?
- oil feed hole next to the oil filter?
If I can get these measurements, I should be able to get a replacement part...
-
Your oil pressure can be up to 80psi when at high revs. Don't forget your taking oil directly from your oil filter housing.
Makes sense - I guess since the oil is coming straight from the oil pump, it's going to be a lot higher pressure there than say the crank seal.
could use a thread guage on the other one and then use a tap to find out the side of the hose?
go to a shop and take the hose and fitting with you and try find one that is the same?
and yes running the turbo with out a restrictor will smoke like a bitch and will damage the seals and bearings.
Haven't got a thread gauge. What should I search for on google maps to find a shop that deals with these things? Cheers

Try find out the thread sizes on both ends , i know the mashed up end is prty bad. once you know that ebay will have one
How can I find out the thread sizes? Unless somebody on here can tell me ? It must be a fairly common part...
Be warned, inside that adapter that's mashed up there is a restriction. Its to prevent your turbo blowing its oil seals.
Can the turbo really blow it's oil seals from the relatively small amount of pressure from the oil pump?

Hi,
I managed to snap the connector that goes between my oil feed line and my TD05. Can anyone please tell me what part I need (and where I can get one) ?
Alternatively, one of my TD04 kits came with this pipe - can anyone confirm whether this has been made for a starlet, or if it's off an impreza? If its for a starlet, can anyone provide a picture of how it fits on exactly, and what bolt I would need to connect it to the oil filter plate?
Cheers!

Ive got a ep82 one, in ashford in Kent.
How much do you want for it and when are you available? PM me or post here cheers

I'm after a EP82/EP91 turbo gearbox in decent condition - the closer to Cambridgeshire the better, but I can collect from anywhere within a reasonable distance (i.e. Birmingham, London, Essex, Bristol, etc).
Need it ASAP so I can get the car all ready for breaking into the 13s at Ultimate Street Car
Post here or PM me with a location and a price.
Cheers

Hi mate,
Here are the pics:

/>http://www.duttonwebdesign.com/ep85/p3.jpgI'd appreciate it if the wiki article could mention that the car is now mine (work in progress, big things planned), but it was Gaz's when this article was published. It is Banzai Magazine issue 82 - let me know if you need any extra information, or higher resolution scans or anything.
Cheers,
Steve

Hi,
I'm probably being an idiot but I can't see a way to add wiki articles - I have just scanned an article from Banzai Magazine about Gaz's blue EP85 which is now mine.
Anybody know how?
Cheers

Bought the mag off eBay. Here's some scans - click for bigger versions:

Ill try and give it a go for ya ;) get a build thread in the 4paw section dude. and welcome to the highly exclusive "club grip"
Any luck mate? I've found out that the issue is apparently August 2008 if that helps... Cover looks like this:
Well the vids on youtube date back to about 2009. Proper serious car.
Watch this space ;)

Will do mate once I actually get it started - for now, I've got a 5e block and I'm saving up for forged pistons&rods. I'm aiming for close to 350bhp with the 5e running a TD05-16G (this might change, since a roller-bearing turbo would spool faster but cost FAR more), wasted spark ignition system and Link G4 management.
-
I've got it at home. ill dig it out and let ya know the issue number mate.
Cheers mate - any chance you'd be willing to scan it in (to go on the Wiki->Articles section alongside the 3 other issues of banzai) ???
-
Hi everyone!
I'm trying to get hold of the Banzai Magazine featuring Gaz's blue EP85, as I'm the new owner.
Does anybody know the issue number?
If anyone has it, would they be willing to scan the article?
Cheers
Steve

I believe the entire drivetrain is rated to around 300-350bhp on the EP85/95, but I'd wait for confirmation before you do anything...
-
I might consider buying it straight if that interested you?
Sorry, will need a standard fuel tank... if I can't get hold of one, I will just have to use this.
-
Anybody ???
-
Hi guys,
Is anybody interested in part-exchanging their standard EP85 fuel tank (in decent condition) for a nice shiny Alloy racing fuel tank?
I'm not sure that I'm going to have enough space in the car for the alloy tank with the sound system fitted, so would consider any offers to part ex someones EP85 fuel tank for this?
I can post some pictures up - think it has a bosch fuel pump in, but will have to check.
Any interest? PM me any offers or just post here...
Cheers

will sell my complete 4wd running gear, if someone comes up with the right price, and the blue shell too, all gotta go!!!!
front and rear diff's be cool alright for them banging off the limter launch's!!!!!! lol
Hi - How much would you want for the blue shell with both sets of running gear (if you still have both sets) ? Thanks
-
Thing is with these cars no one in the UK has managed to sort some diffs out which they really need.
Can you get diffs imported from other countries? If it was just a drag car, I'd get the diffs welded but I want it to be usable on the road too....
And even with standard diffs, it'll have a lot more grip than the FWD car!
-
I'll be the forst to reply with....Pm Enzo on here, he brings them all over
I might have mine up for sale shorlty but its a 95 and all ready converted running td04 so not as cheap
Cheers - I'll contact him.
Might be interested - let me know a price and what it comes with.
I am currently building a forged 5e, and have a TD05 ready to go on it, then will get it mapped on a Link G4 ECU. Aiming for 320-350BHP with supporting modifications. FWD is never going to be able to handle such a light car with that much power, so 4WD is a must!!!
Thanks

Hi guys,
I've been trying to get hold of a manual EP85 for a loooooong time now and not had any success. I occasionally see automatic ones come up on tradecarview.com but no manuals.
I was going to buy Gaz's when it was for sale but he decided not to sell it :'(
Does anybody know where I can get hold of one? I'm not too bothered about colour, spec, etc - just as long as its decent condition and manual!!!
Thanks!
Which colour scheme would you pick?
