Just had a look at what backbox it is, i cant read the writing on the backbox lol, it says : SILENCER then under it says has some signature which is like in italics i think it begins with an A or a H? cant read it i feel stupid any ideas ?

is it quite easy to get off for MOT!?

I dont know what it is, ill try have a look in abit but if not ill have a look daytime tomorrow basically heat wrap everything apart from the mani and backbox?

Hey, i decided to decat my gt turbo, with a toyosport decat, installed it and there isnt any extra noise then before im not sure cause when i removed the old downpipe, it had Blitz on it so i dont know if its already a decat, it pops rarely, and its not really loud Do i need a mani to get my car poppin!? cause thats half the reason i wanted a decat ,but abit unsure atm! Thanks!

removing indicators, i thought you had to remove the bumper so you can stick somthing under them to pop them out, but somone said that you dont have to remove the bumper to get them out ? how do you remove the indicators? thanks

EP82, i have to open bonet, undo screw, then take 1 bolt off the bumper off so i can get a screwdriver under the indicator to pop it off, whats the simple way i should be doing lol

i will prob have a go on monday, cant be bothered to take that damn bumper off for like the 3rd time in the past few days lol thanks peeps

yep it does, i assume its been taken out as there is just a connector left, so does this mean that the high / low boost button on the dash does nothing ? i got told by previous owner that the high / low boost does nothing cause of the avcr, but i feel like it does might be just in my head though Thanks

So i thought i had an indicator out, so went got another one, plugged in and doesnt work, now ive found out it only works when you push the bulb in and it works fine, but if there is no pressure, i guess its not touching the live so not working whats the best thing to do? replace the connector? if so where is the best place? halfords? toyota? local motor parts shop? or any other ideas? On my EP82 turbo which i bought a month ago, it has a grey electric connector that is unplugged, just next between where you fill the oil up, and the dipstick, right next to the fuel rail ( not on the ICV) anyone know what it is ? i would get pictures but i dont have a picture phone or camera anymore! if anyone knows,that would be great, Thanks

i think i was just going mad tbh, took it out tonight and did a few 0-60 timing holding phone and it was 6.5 and 7 seconds, could have got lower but was holding phone in 1 hand so couldnt do a proper launch, and was still pulling strong over 100, although it does seem to give up at about 6k , will hopfully have a look at the spark plugs tomorrow Thanks for advice people

i think so mate, my old car was 80bhp ,but when i got the starlet it just seemed to climb to redline so so fast but now after 6k it feels like 6k / 6.5k /7k where as it felt instant lol, hopfully going to time my 0-60 over next few days so hopfully find out abit more

is there anyway to find out if its losing power apart from a dyno?

Hey, had my GT Turbo for about 4 weeks now, the car just feels alot slower, i dont know if its lost power or if im just getting used to the power ( i think so ) when i first got the car it was so fast and it would just fly up to red line so far, now after about 6k revs the car just doesnt seem to have that power i dont really know how to find out if i have lost any power, apart from a dyno, the car is slightly modded and estimated bhp is 140-150. mods are exhaust system, 0.8 bar boost, actuator - it does 65mph in 2nd gear ( does that sound right )? ps: - how oftern should a spark plugs and oil be changed also sorry if wrong section - couldnt find a suitable place
