  1. I do think its fuel related too as it only happens when the engine is warm, my tutor said at college set it between 30-40psi, it was 65psi Had it on the RR a few weeks ago and he said fueling was fine, but somthing not right I'll try get a battery start test done today or tomorrow
  2. Ive had a new rotar arm, dizzy cap, and spark plugs last month, and it hasnt improved, HT leads were resistance checked and were fine

Might be the battery, but i dont think so as if its been sat for a day or 2, it will start first time every time, where as when ive drove it recently the battery should be fuller as the altonator should have charged the battery up fully while driving meaning it would start easier i would think?

  5. I understand that its very diffucalt to say why it isnt starting first time but all i want it possibilitys and suggestions please! So first thing in the morning when the engine is cold, it will start first time every time, But once the engine is up to overating temp and has been switched off for more then 10-15mins, it will take maybe 3-5 seconds to start, the engine turns off it just wont start up If i were to stall the car and start it up straight away, it would start straight away, as i say just when the car has been off for more then 10 or so mins Thanks for any ideas!

  8. My blitz decat has the 2 holes, 1 for the lambda and one for the sensor make no difference i dont think
  9. After replacing the thermostat, i bolted the housing back on only to find it leaking, turns out it snapped while bolting it back on which cars have the same thermostat housing as the gt turbo? as i need to find one from the local scrappys asap Thanks, corolla? n/a starlet?
  10. Ahh cheers buddy lol, i did have a look earier and i come back with a puzzled face, i did think that its possibly in the bottom hose but i dont know how common that is, Will update tomorrow mid-day when i have a go
  11. So just take off the top hose and then unbolt the housing and its inside there? i know it sounds stupid but the housing looks too small for the thermostat ive got lol
  12. i bought it for 16quid, i dont have any spare coolant and it's already near the low mark is there a tutorial anywhere?
  13. I looked for a guide but couldnt find one, just wondering if i have to drain the coolant before changing the thermostat? and is it quite an easy job on an EP82? Thanks!

When its a cold day, the first 2-3mins of driving when i get to 2-3k revs it just judders and quite poorly, revs go up and down even though my foot is not increasing or decreasing revs also it's not revving much above 5,5k revs atall, ( even when warm) Ive had a fuel filter recently, the plugs seem fine, i cleaned them up recently too
  15. the avcr isnt wired up to make it show the boost, but you can adjust it, the boost gauge is wired up thats what ive been told
  16. **PICS** So finally managed to get some pictures, its not great pics but it may help it's taped up now cause the case that the circuit board is split it has a hose that goes to my FPR Also this is my Turbo timer, it has a setting called A/F , Is this my air / fuel ratio?

It seems to drive okay, i thought it used to redline alot easier, im going to get a fuel pressure test done at college after half term ,just abit worried if its running lean as thats not good i've cleaned out the ICV and recently gave it a new fuel filter my tutor had a look who has been a mechanic for years and said its running like a dream ( sound wise ) so i doubt its a misfire, I will try and get a picture tomorrow of the ciruit board, its literally right next to the tophat

  19. Hey. So i just have a couple of problems with the Gt atm! ( minor ) 1. I had an idleing problem so i turned the idleing screw,under the rubber bung - ontop of the inlet manifold ( just under the strut ) and it seems to be fixed, im just wondering is that definetly the idleing screw not the mixture!? 2. When changing the Fuel filter i noticed that there was a little circuit board just attacted to the passangers side strut housing, one hose goes to the FPR and one goes to the inlet manifold, does anyone know what this is ? problem is abit of the circuit board has burned out so im wonderi
  20. i would have thought after the wheel taking an impact , that it would have done damage to the steering rack too
  21. I checked my spark plugs today and they were very black with carbon deposit i assume, they were changed 3k ago roughly, does this mean my car is running rich or is it normal for them to be black after 3k? What are the disadvantages of running rich?

Hey i have a HKS Silent Hi-Power Zaust and ive got a decat etc, and its not very loud the only thing i can thing of is that it has a exhaust bung inside to restrict the noise? ive had a look down there and it doesnt look like it does, although i think its a like a 3 inch exit yet half way down the backbox it goes quite small down to maybe 2inches? is this normal? sorry i dont have any pictures any help much appreciated
