Evos have it standard so must do summit?

Always wanted an oil cooler they look class how much was it all? TD is a nice drive down even better coming back
Yeah they look mean as fuck when they're sticking out of the grill can't wait to see what it looks like 😈
Price isn't as bad as you would think if you buy all the bits seperate it works out cheaper than buying a ready made kit
And tbh I'm not looking forward to the drive down there off boost all the way down and in a completely stripped car it will be a proper shit drive lol but the drive home might be a bit different
-
Should get a lovely little v for that sort of money mate just don't rush into anything and you will be right
-
How much are you looking to spend if you don't mind me asking?
-
Welcome if you find a nice enough example with a few bits done it will save you a bit of money and you will be over the moon with it

ive gone down the root of getting more power out of my NA 4efe
ive got a 4efte head ffor valve springs (to hold better revs)
custom 4 Branch manifold
head ported and polished skimmed
a Acis inlet manifold with actuator ( solenoid)
5efhe cams
bigger injectors
and a emanage blue
c152 gearbox
lightened fly wheel
exedy stage 2 clutch
all going into it over the next couple of weeks hoping to break the 100bhp or more
heres some recent photos
Yeahhh this is the sort of shit in interested in don't give up dude this will be awesome if you see it through

It's looking smart as always buddy we will have to organise a drive out sometime soon especially now that the bonny weather is coming 👍
-
Yeah I'm talking about doing it properly like a proper size matched exhaust and just making an overall Nice neat job of it
You could still make it neat and tidy looking on a budget like but yeah I know what you mean it would no doubt run into a lot of money if you where buying tarty things and the best of everything but if your tight and patient I recon it will be doable and your looking at the same sort of figures as a 106 gti with a similar weight they're not to be sniffed at theyre nippy little cars it would be worth doing I recon

Triumph throttles. Silicone joiners. Small mod to the tps connector to plug to a starlet harness. Vacuum manifold. Pulse reducer to get a good map signal.
Rich clarke in ireland was running his on a fte ecu. Like this you're talking £200 maybe?
but agree best results would be emb which can be picked up for a bit over £100 now. A wideband and some det cans and for the sake of blowing up a 4efe have a go at tuning urself. U can pick up a 4efe for peanuts.
This is what I was thinking what about them apexi fuel controller things that I've seen mentioned every now and again are they worth having a play about with they're only 100 notes but you will get that back when your finished with it if it doesn't work? There's lots of cheapest ways of getting there in itching to have a go myself but have got two glanzas and a daily corsa at the minuite so I cant
-
I doubt the body's would be a perfect fit I imagine there would be a bit of tinkering involved to get them right but as for cost I don't think it would be too drastic
-
You say that but it looks quite cheap/easy to do on a budget fair play it's not the perfect way to do it but from what I've seen you just chop a standard inlet shot some silicone pipes on it which you could get from auto silicone hoses or somewhere like that for penny's then some of them triumph tt600 bodys on for about 50 quid and then the most expensive part would be a wideband to monitor it
Like I say it's not perfect but it's been proven it works and isn't much more expensive than a rolla mani (other than a wideband I apreciate there's mapping ontop of that but I mean td do the emb for 550 and you can do a megasquirt yourself for cheaper if your brave I know it's still not cheap cheap but it's not break the bank expensive pay that for a half decent set of wheels and tyres these days

There was a guy from europe somewhere that had his mapped up. Was runninh enclosed itb's with a really good cold air feed and loads of other stuff and was making about 120hp iirc
Must be a couple of people that have done it then I just find it hard to believe that hardly anybody sees it through to the end and gets it mapped or on the rollers to see what it's doing :/
-
Have you had it on a dyno or had it mapped yet proper curious to know what these little things make with ITB's on them!
Also what are they off?
-
Im hopefully gonna get back to my N/a project later in the year. Its a GT with a 4EFE dropped in and the JDM 100ps stuff attached, injectors, inlet & TB, ECU etc.
I'd love to start one but just don't have the funds at the minuite need to get my Glanza sorted first will be interesting to see what yours does with them bits on is it the uk 4efe with the jdm bits on?
No mate I just remember the build thread. I love the itbs so it's something that stands out to me
There's a couple of videos on youtube
Lmao fair enough did it ever get mapped do you know?
-
Triumphs tr600
Do you know him like? Or just know that it's easy to shot them body's on?
-
obviously the main point that keeps cropping up in all this is that your going nowhere unless you get it mapped but has anybody ran throttle bodys off a bike or any other type of ITB I know of a lad close(ish) to me had some bike bodys on his n/a but cant remember what bike they where off or wether he had them mapped in or anything think he was called james or something? hes a good friend of toffinators so maybe he knows?
would love to build an n/a tbh everything seems so cheap compared to the fte's the only real expense really in getting them to 100+ bhp that I can see is the map its such a shame that nobody seems to bother
-
Tbh mate I haven't done anything about it yet I'm just going to grind some of the ball joint away ive been told that genuine ones solve the issue but if you've tried them and it's a no go then obviously that doesn't work niether
And lmao gainzy the extra weight deffinately isn't in my wallet after buying them mirrors 😂 and yeah the sard was always just temporary thing until I could afford a map I can't wait I'm like a kid at Christmas 😃
-
Well not much of an update but I'm lazy and can never be bothered to do any work so... I had my car on some scales the other week and these where the numbers it made
That was with £30 of shell v power in but I still wasn't very impressed considering the amount I've stripped out but like my mate pointed out I do have a full cage and them brides are recliners on recaro rails so there's weight to be had there plus the fact my fibreglass bonnet isn't on but hey ho
Other than that I sold the sard Ecu and the old girl is booked into tuning developments on the 27th and I'm not going to back out this time haha so hopefully the car will be about 300 ponys fingers crossed so hopefully if all goes to plan I'll be a happy bunny in a couple of weeks and posting pictures of my dyno figures 😄
-
best one ive experienced is I bought a 106 gti I drove it about 20 miles home and went to pick my girlfriend up I got half way up the farm lane where she lives and the car just stopped dead. I was thinking what the fuck it cant be the clutch the car doesn't just stop like that so got out and had a look underneath see if id beached it on a rock somehow and the gearbox was sat on the floor...
on closer inspection I found that the previous owner had stripped all the threads out of the gearbox to bolt the mount on and thought the best fix would be to grind the bolts into pegs and chemical metal them back in hahaha
when I replaced the box for a one with threads I found on closer inspection the cunt had done the same with two of the front wheel bolts so I had to replace the front hub. the guy loved his chemical metal like lucky it happened at 5mph on a farm track and not 70+ on a motorway eh? cant say id like to see what would have happened at all. im all up for an easy fix but when your potentially going to kill someone its probably best to atleast try and do things properly...
-
No problem, i'll sort that out now. Time to pull my finger out! I'll update this thread tonight with the updates! Please keep an eye out!
Absolutely excellent spreadsheet, I best get my stuff together and sort this out! I will post an update tonight!
Got your work cut out for you now lad 😂
-
What would you suggest buddy? I was originally thinking of just linking to users ukso build threads? I think i might add a section for users to post notes and so forth though that might be a good idea!
Probably a link bit would be the better idea in my opinion tbh and what about a section where you could add previous owners if known?
-
What arre you thinking about doing about build thread? Somewhere to have a link over to ukso or wherever your build thread is or just generally paste the full build thread into a box?
Oh and seems like a good idea by the way well done matey
