It's fucking bullshit isn't it they should have there fingers chopped off for doing something like that!
-
I seen that green one yesterday aswell and thought to myself there seems to be a lot of these going walkabouts in the middle of the night and now another! I don't understand how they shift the parts on with out getting caught myself like or am I missing something?
-
Cheers guys and I'll have a look at that wheel aswell ben thanks dude
-
It was a common problem with all the willwood kits, but not all ball joints are the same some clear some dont, but a rub with a grinder on the bit of the ball joint that fouls will cure it!
Yeah Thats what I was thinking about the old grinder trick I just wanted a bit of reassurance first haha bit shit how some of the kits didn't fit properly like isn't it I imagine somebody paid a pretty penny for them when they were new!
-
Wheel bearing not collapsed has it?
I didn't think of that actually surely I would have noticed it though if it was that bad?
-
-
Has anybody else had problems with the ball joint touching the disk on the wilwood 4 pot setups? It makes a horrible grinding noise when cornering hard and I don't have a clue what I can do about it other than grind the ball joint away abit but want to make sure there isn't an easy fix before I go grinding shit that I need?

Dunno lol never experienced anymore than 230 haha so I suppose I'll have to find out 😝

Same rollers? I thought I read it was 230 bhp earlier? Seems odd to have lost that many ponies.
Aye, I like the heads the cars turn, when I'm far enough away from my home. Don't like people looking at it near home, paranoid!
Yeah it's because its a different Ecu mate it was a jam to start with and now it's a sard I'm just going to have to bite the bullet and take it down to TD and get an emanage shot on it I recon and hopefully make the 300 ponys I've been wanting for the last two and a half years lol
-
You will always get different readings with different rollers. 220 is still a very good figure
Standalone is where its at....if you've got the money.
Really nice to see you build something and use it properly on the track. So many people think that my Starlet is 'chavey' just because they see boy racers on the streets in the Saxo's. They don't seem to understand that proper enthusiasts take it to the track. I mean sure the odd blip here and there is natural. But yeah, nice to see it on the track.
Looking great as well. Loving the front end, nice and unique.
Same rollers it went on last time pal I've got another printout somewhere that shows the fuelling and it is a fucking embarrassment hence why I havnt posted it 😂
Mate you wouldn't believe some of the looks ive had in the car pulled up next to a van the other week and when I looked up there was 3 lads in stitches at me I just started laughing and looked back down at the floor haha but usually its evils and mouthy words that get directed at you even though I wont/can't drive fast in the town due to how loud and how much attention the car would attract its just something you have to deal with haha

Yeah had my first expirience in the wet with them today (cars a toy doesn't really get used that often as I have a daily) and yeah they were not that good but in the dry weather and the stick they got on that trackday (deffinately overworked them) they have deffinately proved themselves to me for the price of them I cannot complain i would rather have tyres that are great in the dry and reasonably priced than ones that are great in all conditions but cost a small fortune but that's just me like I say mine doesn't really get used in the wet it all depends what you want the tyres for really

Well it's been on the road for a while now I've done 1000 miles now so it's all ran in Here's a few pictures I've gathered from the time it's been on the road
As you can see I have already done a trackday in it and had her on the rollers 😂🙈 did well on the trackday but didn't do too great on the rollers though if I'm honest the sard Ecu isnt fueling the ecu very well at all so it is going to have to be mapped which is a good thing because it means big power for me but its also a bad thing as I haven't got a penny to scratch my arse with and have ran into loads of other faults 🙈 apparently with this wilwood 3G brake kit my ball joint now touches the disc on the passenger side so I don't have a clue what that's all about bit far fetched if you ask me but anyway that needs sorting and there's just generally shady noises coming from the front of the car which I am assuming are coming from either the driveshafts or coilovers as there is nothing else that it could be 😏 and the rear brakes and handbrake have took it upon themselves to not work so they need sorting aswell but apart from all that it seems ok
Couple of pictures of the mark the ball joint has left on the disk and how close it is and one below of how far out the shaft sits on the drivers side on the OEM lsd box :s

I'm currently running federal 595 rsr tyres and they get the thumbs up from absolutely unreal and can get them for about 200 for a full set of 195/50/15 it was either these or the nangkangs and I went for the federals and I'm glad I did👍
Only bad thing is I've heard things about them delaminating when they're about done with but mine have been fine so far on 1100 miles and 1 trackday would recommend them 👌

the metal bracket to the ignitor needs to be earthed thats where most people go wrong
What Shaun said I replaced the bolts in mine with them fancy Chinese washer things and it didn't like it at all I had to put the original bolts back in!
I had the exact same problem with mine I'm guessing your fuel pump isn't priming niether? 99% sure it's an earth pal it probably looks like they're all theyre and all intact but so where mine!
Check make sure all your original ones are earthed nice and tight with a good contact and if that doesn't work get a friend to sit in the car and watch the eml light If you get a decent wire and earth one end to the chassis and touch the other end in different places starting with the icv I loads of different parts in your engine bay turning your ignition on and off every time you try a different place this is how I found mine lol it's tedious and sounds like a long shot but give it a go!
I pulled my alarm out and all sorts man I know how you feel it drives you mad!

i was thinking of a boost controller, but im after a greddy OLED or sencond hand AVCR, but they dont list the OLED on their site. i might be looking at booking both cars in for mapping if my local company dont get back to me soon, or if they want to charge me full price again.
I had one of them oled's and couldn't get it to work it was crap I've read some good reviews on the gfb ones even mcm rates them so I wouldn't mind giving them a chance
-
Just pushing this up for any more interest and suggestions to what offers you would like on the day of the meet.
Matt
I'd be interested in a decent deal on one of the gfb boost controllers 👍

Item For Sale:
"Rare" Sard Analyse plug and play ECU
Item Condition & Description:
Good working condition with all seals intact. Reason for sale is that I am having the car mapped to 300bhp on an emanage. I don't know how rare these sard Ecu's are but I haven't seen that many kicking about as opposed to the more common blitz and jam Ecu's and it was described as rare when I bought it.
Here's a link to a quick guide on plug and play Ecu's if you don't know much about them...
