Will do mate, ill let you know by tomorrow
And Ryan is that where the rubber gromet is in the passenger footwell? If so I don't have one because on mine it's just a hole, that's where all my wires ran through to the engine by for the gauges etc
-
Cheers Ryan dude! Appreciate that yeah rolla mani has been sold, ill have to take the spoiler off tomorrow, just to see if it even comes off, it was bonded on very strongly haha and it's not on the best condition if I'm honest, ill take it off and get some pictures for you dude.
Wheels are fucked, well one of them is. They were on the civic when I crashed and it's completley buckled and beyond repair... So I'm not too sure on those as only 3 are good.
Marc or Ryan have you got a picture of the blanking plate? Ill have a look tomorrow then.
Sorry for the late replies I've been in work all day today. But ill try my best from now on to reply to everyone asap.
Oh and I've got one picture of the celica seats, but ill be taking them out tomorrow to take some proper pictures for you
-
I looked inside today and it's full of mould and shit, and I've sold loads of awkward stuff to buy back, and the insurance is cheaper on the mr2 than it is te starlet as a normal 1.3 so I can't really justify it
-
Buuuuuump. Bought an mr2 instead now.
Celica Gen 7 seats in black and red are still available, only looking for around £80 for them...
Bonnet headlights bumper sold, also the wipers and clocks, front and rear strut have been sold too.
Everything else is still available, need the shell gone by the end of the week so bump for cheap parts civic rad still available for £20
-
Like I said on Facebook, looking forward to seeing what you do with this!
Always nice to see another starlet in South Wales in the hands of an enthusiast!
Good luck mate, ill keep a sharp eye on it
-
Yeah my mates just bought a garage so once everything is together I can take it down there, and you know you're coming down to help taggy ;)! And yeah I understand it's not as easy as people make out, I'm not expecting an easy job. I'm planning on doing it over the next few months, I'm not going to rush it haha
-
After writing off the civic that was supposed to be a temp car untill I save up for a glanza, I don't see the point in getting something else I don't even want anything else. I hated driving around in a car with someone else's modifications it was just never my own. I know where I am with the starlet, I know it's going to be a bitch of a job, but it will be done one day, and the satisfaction gained from doing it is going to be immense
-
The second link looks good, as it's not too far from me (south Wales) and has most of what I need from one seller I've already got a half size civic rad rob so that won't be a problem, but thank you for informing me of the other parts as I know people make it sound so much easier than it actually is. I know it will be a hard job but as I'm not bothered about not having a car for a few months I'm expecting to hit problems and have the time to correct them. I would like the full loom from a glanza, so there's no cutting it into my loom Etc, everything is changed..
But yeah I would be looking for engine from someone I can trust off here, as I do need it to be reliable once it is on the road... Just peace of mind buying one off here really.
I won't be able to buy everything needed this month, but I want to get the majority ready.
So If anyone has a full wiring loom with clocks and ecu, also stalks and other various bits needed pm me please also I'm not sure what the going rate these days is for most items so if anyone knows and could give me a heads up? Thanks alot guys ill pm you now mike
-
I get paid in about 9 days, so the 25th of jan..
so the funds will be available then just so everyone knows but im looking for everything needed to convert my n/a to a 4efte. i know im going to hit a wall of problems most likely, but im ok with being without a car for a good few months. after crashing the civic i cant bring myself to buy yet another car and insure it. so im turboing the starlet i love it way to much to see the shell getting scrapped, i will most probably cry, things ill need are as follows:
A fully running 4efte, has to be running with all ancillaries etc ready to go striaght in... most likely a gearbox aswell?
everything needed to convert to discs and pads on the back...
A full 4efte wiring loom with ecu and clocks...
and anything else anyone can think ill need to convert it. but i would like to start off with the wiring loom clocks and ecu, as that would be a good start like. im maybe thinking of getting everything but the engine this month, then the engine next month so i can drop it striaght in and get it running.
let me know what you have
Thanks, Dave.

For once in my life I was driving sensibly which if anything has pissed me off the most. I was going round a Courner about 30 and the back end slid out and as I went to correct it, it caught grip and just sent me the other way into some massive concrete block in the middle of the road, then flipped me back and hit the back too. The whole front part of the chassis is twisted I'm fucking gutted, it just started sliding out of nowhere, and as I was driving sensibly I wasn't expecting the back end to kick out as much as it did, or for it to even kick out at all. But it was wet and I've got no back seats so I think it was a bit tail happy. I'm so upset about it :/ I've only had it a week like. But yeah I'm completey fine, the harness held me in the whole time like. Ill get some pictures up later when I'm home :/

Doesn't matter anyway, I wrote it off last night.
-
It probably looks like it's doesnt fit, but it does really well, there's a black plastic trim on the bottom of the bumper, which needs spraying red, because at the moment it look like a shadow so it looks like it doesn't fit but if anything it fits perfect
-
Probably the only civic in the world with a starlet JAM lip on it, it's probably a love or hate thing but thought I would show you anyway...
-
This was the day I bought it, so flames aren't that big because I was still getting used to the car. Everyone loves flames though don't lie ;)
-
Aw mate it was ridiculous, he was getting it to pop flames which made no noise at all, and obvcourse it was a £30 flamer kit, and if you look underneath they are all genuine tips. I was like cool story bro, then went and popped mine which is louuuud! Haha
-
As some of you are aware this happened to the starlet recently....

Was debating about a new engine or new car Etc, then my mate said he was selling his civic for £500 so I decided I fancied a change, never owning another car before I thought it would be a bit of a change like it's a 1.3 carbed engine so it's quite fun when you can flood the engine and make it spit flames haha ;) ill let the pictures do the talking, it's already sitting on coilovers which is nice, I now appreciate why people spend the extra on coilovers and how bad springs actually are... Apart from that it's pretty unmolestered. Got a Subaru back box which is just ridiculous and my old St may shotgun Jasma exhaust will be going on there soon instead here's what it was like when I bought it
Bought it without the silly 17" wheels and without the bonnet bra as I simply didn't want it.
And here's how it looked with my wheels when I got it home
Don't be fooled by the soap, I haven't actually cleaned it yet, I was just cleaning the wheels because I'm undecisive whether the white wheels suit this car or not...
Here's some more recent pics at a meet
And yes ^^^ that Peugeot has nothing to do with me or the group I hang round with haha so don't start ;)
Also went up to see Ryan Lang and his brother kurt the other night, a rose between two pricks ;)
Let me know what you think anyway the bonnets damaged and rusted because of the bonnet bra, but my mates giving me a bonnet for free which I'm spraying black apart from
Stripping it then I don't think I'm going to do much more too it other than save up for a glanza! When I'm like 21-22 it stays in your blood ;) haha
-
Will get more pictures ASAP. By the end of tomorrow. Headlights bonnet and bumper are provisionally sold, however the JAM front lip is still available. Forgot to say it's got a corolla intake manifold, half size civic rad and a hks mushroom filter. Also front strut brace but no back one. It's not got coilies I was on about the civic in the other thread mate, it's just lowered 40mm on PI springs.
-
yeah unfortunatley ive moved to the hondas :/ ive decided im keeping this for a year or so, untill i can afford the insurance on a real glanza. so this is just a run around for the time being and i wont be modifying this much, its already slammed on coilovers, subaru seats etc like just gives me time to save up for a glanza now!

conrod striaght through the sump

I bought celica seats thinking the same thing, I ended up getting rails fabricated for them because they were just becoming such a pain, even welding the starlet feet onto the celica rails didn't work, because the feet don't line up properly and the celica rails are much longer... I just got two bars welded across the rails and the feet welded onto the bar, and they sit tidy now, for me, it was alot more hassle than it was worth
-
My engines just shat itself and I'm in need of a 4efe ASAP if someone could pm me or text me 07888077020, thanks in advance
-
Just about the worse looking pictures of my car I've ever seen :L how did I ever drive around with it looking like that
By the way, ill take the manifold if its still around in the new year
-
Amjad did a guide on how to do it somewhere in the tutorial section, you literally just cut the gt mounting points and trim the feet a little it's not much

Yeah that's why I said it's sold mate and I've got an aftermarket one that isn't that hard to wire in, but it's all down to taste as it's quite big like
