  1. i find i go for ages without an update then when i do update its got to the stage where more than one thing has arrived to fit then update with. on that note tuesday should be a good night as the trust oil cooler and relocation kit arrives to add aother touch in the engine bay. power fc is being fitted week after next, were gunna see just what a standard ct9 can handle

as to how the car works without a pcv valve, i was always led to believe it only provided a steady idle? well mine got water into it and stopped working so i unplugged it and got it set up to have a steady idle without it, need to get it done again as whatever was done has come undone. sometimes it idles fine no problems, other times when i come up to junctions it revs live i have cams lol i get some funny looks. couple that with the orc single plate clutch engaged rattle and my car sounds truly broke lol

i got the car it seems more than only two years ago. however its only two years in my company. it came to me a standard 1999 with a slipping clutch and busted shocks lol. i got frank curley a guy in newtonabbey to import it for me.

    thanks sparky dude.

  2. i think you can just see the two threaded mounting points for the fittings i have just fitted this evening to run the lines to the oil catch can. just waiting on the fittings coming to fit the fpr in the final position. then im gunna fit the carbing oil catch can where the fpr is atm. as to why im running no bov sounds mental and i find it much more responsive. so far ive been running this turbo for two years with no problems so its all good

  3. what a terrible terrible driver. as soon as it starts to go round apply opposite lock and modulate throttle with the right foot but yet he doesnt. i found the best way to learn how these cars handle was to drive an sr starlet, you learnt the way this car handled with less power, now the car has more power yet handles the same so you can apply what you learnt easily.

  4. you really cant go wrong it just goes back on in the same position just be careful not to nip the o ring on the bit you insert into the intake manifold. i got a wee bit of wd40 just to lubricate the o ring when it was going back in. to get it off undo the 2 10mm bolts, take off the wee electrical connector andtake off the wee tube on the bottom of it and lift it out but youll see it when your doing it it is easy enough.

  5. i have a 1999 same as a 1998 in the interior and the differences between the 96-97 and 98-99 models are that they have:

    differant style steering wheel

differant shape seat with differant fabric covering

door cards have the same style fabric as the seats

hi/low boost button is in a differant location

    passenger airbag

amber illumination of the clocks etc

any more please feel free to add as these are the only ones i can think of right now as regards to the interior

  6. sounds like the idle control valve alright. stand in front of the car and look at the engine. on the left hand side of the intake manifold you will see a wee grey thing connected to the side of it with two 10mm bolts. this is your idle control valve. it can mess about if dirt or water gets into it. you can buy a new one from toyota or get a second hand one off someone but a 2nd hand one might have the same problem. another thing yah can do is check for air leaks from your boost piping as my idle messed about crazy bad and idled at 3000 until i found my air pipe had blew off the actuator.

  7. haha that reminds me of the time i thought it would be funny play a joke on a set of jevhova witness's with a double barrell shotgun haha. they asked me if i had god in my life, i told them two seconds i had something in the oven ran got the shotgun (which wasnt loaded) came back to the door and said no, but i can make you guys an appointment hahahha never seen two guys run so fast in my life. had to run after them to tell them i was joking though. funny nobody else came back to the door

  8. apexi power fc has arrived yey. gunna get it mapped now within the next couple of weeks :( advan rgs are off and going to get refurbed now next week ready for spring time. ordered new back discs and pads for the rear as they were well fooked and ferodo ds2500 pads for the 4 pots. looking forward to having the brakes back to full effectiveness. thanks for the good comments guys gunna be going to a few track days this year to see how it gets on hehe

  9. thank you guys. makes it worth while to see my efforts recognised by people. although i think someday when im finished it will be awesome. yes idrees thank you very much advan rgs were the only wheels for me ever since i seen them on jam glanza in hyper rev many moons ago and the zep seat rails fitted awesome, just needed very slight adjustment but as i say great purchase. power fc, blitz oil cooler kit and defi cr advance gauges (boost, egt in a pillar pod and then oil pressure oil temp and water temp in the middle console thing i made. shud luk pretty mental at night. also a couple of other scary surprises but cant give too much away hehe ...

  10. then i think its time to lock the car in garage and only slowly reveal the complete sexiness of the bar a bar at a time hehe. then it wont cmpletley overload the senses. the welding is meticulous and the fit is second to none and the strut brackets would be well at home on an earthmover lol they will never ever ever fail. completley worth the money, bit expensive though worth it most definateley in the end.
