i know guys i completley agree. that is the plan, paint the bonnet cut and smooth the centre of the bumper out and get it painted as well. going to get all painting done at once. thinking of a full respray to tidy up the whole car.
-

especially over here you really gotta slow down as the roads are crap, big puddles dark nights makes for some interesting driving techniques lol best to drive with a spotter hehe. but yeah i agree know thy cars limits and should the shit hit the fan you should be in a greater position to deal with the situation. i learnt the ep driving craft in an sr starlet less power, learning about lift off oversteer and speeds and conditions that cause it. now more power but the lift off oversteers the same so its easier to know how the car will react to inputs just my two pence.

haha lmao

is it an mhi flange or greddy type flange?

very nice, spoiler actually looks like its meant to be there. looking forward to future developments.

i have plans that involve a custom ap racing 2 pot caliper setup for the rear with ap bias controller.... they match too. yes the parts mostly came from mc chu it was to hard to refuse. car had a funny knocking sound for 3 days. thought it was the front right strut so with mc chu i wasnt very happy at all. also the brake disc was warped so didnt fit kind off so was further annoyed. to cut a long story short got the discs skimmed fitted em and all was awesome. around the same time i sourced the knocking sound. the drivers side engine mount bolt had worked itself loose and the engine was able to move. fixed that straight away. knocking noise went away. expensive repair trip to tein averted to say i was happy was an understatement!!! the car now brakes like theres no tomorrow and handles really really well. just a few more bits to do and the handling will be completley sorted. going to concentrate on interior safety now and get that sorted.
One more thing what size of samco bends do i need to fit my hks filter facing air in bumper any help guys......then i can get rid of efi pipe.
WOULD LIKE TO OFFER A VERY PUBLIC APOLOGY TO MC_CHU. PARTS ARE FANTASTIC.

nah dude. mines been in since end of april a guy from newtownabbey brought her in, yours looks sexy though too. came in as a wee standard example with cat back lowering springs and both splitters from toyota. since then changed a few bits lol. where you from junior g? never know where in the country ill be. the other night after i got the jam fcd fitted i took a notion and went on a lap of lough neagh.... yes really.
-
holy crap. where was that done? you would go to prison for a long time if you tried that in the uk. crazy crazy people.

well its been a while since my last update. its not that im lazy or anything.... but here goes. changes since last update are fitted tein mono flex coilovers, ap racing four pot 293mm brakes (mental stopping power), orc 309d single plate clutch, my jam fcd and a carbing three point front strut brace. to say there is a differance is an understatement. handling, stopping and go power is sooo much improved.
but i shall show pictures for you picture whores out there. ;)
Few pictures of the brakes. forgive the dirtyness. took her for a test run before pictures where thought of. sorry ;)
Since the last time i updated i tidied up the engine bay a little bit. theres still quite a few things to be done. few bits have a date with a matte black spray can. carbing oil catch can still has to be fitted. have to relocate the air filter to bumper to get rid of the efi pipe and clear a place for the catch can. any help as to what samco bends i need to mount the filter face on to oncoming air much appreciated. red intercooler joiners and a few more bits to be hidden along with a few mikalor clamps to use not to mention the polished inlet manifold and black throttle body. roll on good weather.
few things to do but im getting there slowly. what you guys/gals think?
-
well clutch strut brace teins fitted tried fitting the brakes but............ front right tein is fooked needs a rebuild and the brake discs are warped so have to be skimmed or buy a new set and the clutch has developed a funny vibration so that will will have to be checked.
-
well good news. some parts arrived.
orc 309d clutch kit should hold all the abuse i plan for it.
ap racing 293mm 4 pot kit favourite bit. (not fitted yet)
tein mono flex coilovers
carbing three point hasn't exactly turned up yet but it will
pictures to come in more detail when the brakes are fitted.
