  1. Im very fussy about my cars anyway so I wont settle for a shitter ill just save for a better one if I have too.

Thats sweet Ive seen a few very similar too that up for sale. Once my starlet sells ill make my move!

Still enjoy the Starlet its a shame cause its not that ive fallen out of love with it, its just im more in love with the idea of the MR2 lol wish I could have both

  2. Thats what I expected I think the GT4 would be fun until you have a go in an MR2.

I remember when I passed my test always driving with one hand thinking I was the nuts. I still drive with one hand but only when driving through town. Always two hands when im giving it some, you have so much more control.

  3. I've read they are very quick with 0-60 times ranging between 5.2-5.7 seconds is that accurate? I know it depends on the driver etc etc but that is quick! How would it pair against a stock Celica GT4? (on a dry day) The MR2 is lighter where as the Celica is heavier but has 4wd on its side.

  4. Yeh its my dads fault im a Toyota nut too. He bought a Supra right when they brought them to the UK in 1993. First one was silver with cream interior but I dont remember it. He crashed it one winter and bought another new one in 95. Both UK specs but the second one was silver with black interior and that one I remember very well as he owned it for 15 years or so. It was his daily lol, he racked up over 180000 miles on it without any major problems. Absolutely phenomenal cars.

He always used to take me to a Japanese Import specialist in Dunblane to let me look around all the Skylines, evos, imprezas etc. Thats when I saw my first GT Turbo. Remember looking in the window, glancing at the 180mph converted speedo and thinking wow it does 180mph! purely because it also said that in the supra ( I was young at the time :p ) so naturally I wanted one.

  5. I think every MR2 driver must experience a few scary moments at the start if they are not used to driving an mid engined rear wheel drive car. Im just going to be careful and test the limits slowly because the last thing I want is to over step the mark too early and trash it because Ive made a rookie error.

I absolutely have to have a TOM'S kitted one!

  6. How cool must it have been to walk into a Toyota showroom in Japan back in the 90's. As you walk in your faced with GT's Glanza's GT4's MR2's Supra's and more. What a stunning range of cars. I love Toyota.

  7. Sometimes I contemplate going TD04 with my starlet but think an MR2 would be so much more fun in summer (I know what summer but still) months. How are they in winter actually? My brain tells me they must be pants..but surely with some good winter tyres they could be usable?

As for Rx7's if I was going to be spending that kind of money on running and maintaining a car it would be a Supra. That will be where Im going after the MR2 hopefully its my dream car, once I have a supra it will stay with me for life.

  8. I was so disappointed with Fast & Furious 6. Its a stunt film now and the stunts arent even realistically possible most of the time. Just a load of shit really there was some smart cars but Dodge have clearly got them on the payroll, it was like a fucking dodge expo with there latest range of pish vehicles. Fed up with it and the end clip was the final straw with Jason Statham. Why are they bringing that bellend in, I thought for a split second they were going back to the whole Japan scene but no. I want to see Japanese cars and loads of them not tuned black out M5's, get more imaginative that that geez.

Oh and for the record Toretto's superman over the bridge to catch Letty mid flight was just FUCKING RIDICULOUS!!

Its a shame because the first 2 were brilliant, I was even a fan of Tokyo drift! 5 was decent but they need a fresh cast thats what I liked about Tokyo drift...even though the main character was a redneck bastard.

  9. I have a vision of me, out on a spirited drive one summers evening, roof gone with the sound of a spooling turbo between my ears. Its a good vision.

From the feedback so far its just convincing me more, It sounds like a whole new driving experience and that's exactly what im after.

  10. Yeh im sure they handle well if you try to understand how to drive one and not foolishly push it in the bends. Got to have the T bar in my opinion :p and I just love the driving setup and position. Have never experienced what the turbo being behind your head is like but must be awesome.

Also cheers for the link was a good read!
