Just venting this one off, not that it will help but fuck it i need to get this out. Basically a week before christmas my clutch and gearbox let go. So i took it to mr.clutch as i couldn't be arsed rolling around on the floor doing it myself. I supplied the clutch, and a shitty fucking pikey nob end poped out of nowhere n goes 'owite mate, you needa gearbox do ya? my bro breaks starlets i'll get wun for ya no problem'. I'm thinkin, dafuq how is this guy allowed to work here speaking like that - but regardless i was desperate for a new box. He goes, yeah give me your number and i'll ring yo

Just the intercooler bud yeah, i'm using the piping on my current intercooler! But you can simply buy a selection of intercooler piping off ebay or from a local tuning shop (if there's one near by maybe). Or even get some fabricated up to suit your car perfectly. Need this gone guys, cheap enough price for a genuine BLITZ part. Hahahaha starbuck, i will take paypal id just much prefer a bank transfer .

Sorry stu also to your questions; FMIC - Yes, a very big one lol. Exhaust - Straight through 2.5" no boxes or silencers. Shitty toyosport mani with RW-development screamer/decat combo. -
How to reduce boost spike?
Beastmode panda replied to Beastmode panda's topic in Intake, Turbo & Exhaust
Haha yeah i duno how people keep suggesting an ecu either hahaha. Stu that is great help mate thanks a lot for that! I just bodged the air filter on and noticed that the boost didn't creep/spike as much as before. So like you said it's deffo sending too much air in the turbo! Interesting to say the least though. I've put it back to mesh for the mo until i get my PAS delete kit so that bit fucking shitty pump can go so there will be more room for a filter then i'll put the filter back on for sure! Thanks so much for the response. -
How to reduce boost spike?
Beastmode panda replied to Beastmode panda's topic in Intake, Turbo & Exhaust
True yeah, it's just i googled it and someone said something about boost leaking but yeah that makes sense that boost would drop off not increase lol. Hmmm, well i'll try the filter on, im scepticle as to weather a filter makes better performance or not comapred to meshed haha. The never ending debate . Anyway, anyone have any more ideas? I've also shortened the boost controller vacuum pipes to the turbo. And i heard that harder vacuum pipes are better too? -

Beastmode panda replied to Beastmode panda's topic in Intake, Turbo & Exhaust
The turbo is just meshed at the moment! But i think i'm going to put the filter relocation back on today and see how that goes for a bit! edit - do you think the meshed turbo is adding to the cause of spiking? what what about the boost leak suggestion? -

How to reduce boost spike?

Not really an option, i'm avoiding managment and going forged as i'll be selling the car in a few months and i'll never get that money back. So other than the obvious managment upgrades.. -
Hey all, Been having boost spike for a while now, more so obviously due to the freezing cold fresh air! But the car was set up on the RR at 0.8bar, since then it's boosting at about a bar, or maybe just over sometimes. I don't really want to keep pushing the car cause obv the boost will just keep rising. Running gizzmo ebc, standard ecu. Is it causei have a discreat boost leak somewhere? One of the silicone joiners is a bit freyed in the middle where it's hit the floor, but not gone all the way through so i kept using it. Any suggestions?
