Think about it, the massive amounts of heat coming off the engine, turbo and manifold all rising up to the top of the bonnet mainly, then think about how little air will get through that tiny bonnet scoop to a filter as apposed to putting it at the front of the bumper for nice clean fresh air to hit the filter. Just a no brainer imo?

What i meant was, i had an apexi backbox and got my custom 2.5" midpipe made up, then i sold the apexi backbox and got the buddyclub style backbox made up to complete the custom straight through system. I've never had an apexi system, only backbox. I didn't word it very well in the message, sorry. But yeah, as i said i ran the apexi backbox on the custom mid pipe so if it was the other way round; i.e, custom backbox on branded mid pipe it would also be fine.

Collected them this morning on easter sunday lol, and fitted them as soon as i got home . Before, all boring as fuck and literally hated it. ABS plastic will be ok, as long as it is a few mm thick it will do the job for sure man. It's either ABS or ply! They both have their own pros and cons.
