For Sale: Toyota Starlet Glanza V, 1.3 Turbo. (1997)
In Absolutely Immaculate Condition for Age. Enthusiast owned.
78,000 miles. Very low for the age.
MOT - 7 Months

This car is my pride and joy but unfortunately i need to save for a deposit on a mortgage.
I have kept this car, in pristine condition, it hasn't seen rain in my ownership or salty roads, and has been fully wax oiled underneath.
It has been serviced every 3000-4000 miles using 10W-40 Semi Synthetic Mobil Super 2000 Oil. And was last serviced on 29/09/13. I also had the cambelt changed in April of this year, with receipts to prove.
The car is very fast. I travelled to Tuning Developments in Warrington to have the car mapped as i knew they were the best in the country.

Go for the calipers of the ST185. Bigger single piston calipers, and you use Vauxhall astra discs. They are quality, and will cost you around £200 all in! You'll probably spend that on new stuff to stay stock!

You seem to be a bit unlucky at Castle Combe, spinning out lol. Nice progress mate, the car looks stunning!
-
Whats the V still waiting on? Seems an awful long time since Japfest @ Castle Combe and that was your initial target to have it all mapped etc wasn't it?
-
also found a pic of me drag racing the other week
Did you catch the 205?
-
For winter already? You've only just got it out from last winter it seems lol.
-
Love red glanzas! Hope you don't suddenly put it up for sale like you did your last one though lol. Look after her
-
Ok, it was a group buy.... So how about a group COLLECTION?
-
Did the scam of CJ Performance's group buys ever get resolved? I've haven't been online a lot recently but still haven't heard from them!
-
Happy birthday boss
-
Is he 100% sure its not a hybrid because I thought most they would make it just over 200bhp
Yeah had the turbo on and off many times mate
-
thats a lot of bhp on ct9
Mapped on Emanage blue at Tuning Developments
-
Definitely fit a new or used turbo dude and then decide what you want to do. Don't sell it for pennies, turbos are cheap!
-
I've got a 215bhp glanza on CT9, it's really quick, sounds awesome, drives well and is really fun.
I've also got a mk1 mx5 Eunos 1.6, which I use daily and when it's really hot. The Mx5 is nowhere near as fast in a straight line (stock) but the handling is amazing and it's so fun to drive! If your going to turbo an mx5, you could be looking at a similar straight line performance to a good spec starlet but you'll have brilliant handling straight out the box. But starlets do handle very well, once you've got decent coil overs, front a rear roll bars and additional braces. Also if you put money into a starlet engine, they could be shockingly fast and you'll always have the fact that they are quite rare and not everyone knows what they are and what they are capable of.
So tbh, it depends on whether you want fwd or rwd.

Im going to this with Dorset Modified Car Club
-
thanks for the replies, im just thinking that in terms of track potential the Teg is a better starting point.
Which version did you have Ryan? 96/98jdm or ukdm?
Personally i think my V is too nice to strip and make into a track car, its got the lovely flocked interior and nearly mint paint. Would rather see it looked after.
Have you thought about an EK9?
-
I've never seen any K swapped civics go flat out, only videos. My friend is building a K swapped EG cant wait to see it go!
Vince Knight's old K20 EK at Japfest 2011 for you
-
You do realise that speedo is in km/h..1 bar td04 faster then every honda out there lol you havent a clue. Heres a k20 teg from ireland would you say your 1 bar td04 would be faster? Your pushing around 220 bhp if even and you think thats enough to beat every honda out there you're mistaken bigtime.
1 bar td04 starlet is not the fastest car on the road.
And i think Triple J is talking about non turbo honda's
-
LOL why? I beat one of those in my NA :L
Like!
