Where do you get the turbo's from? Do you clean them before you fit them? Hope your not sandblasting them or something?
-
Would be a good idea to get the plug the EOBD2 in then and watch the fuel rail pressure on the livedata. When starting the engine from cold, do you wait for the fuel pump to surge with the ignition on before turning the key?
-
Welcome to the club Scatter:)
-
Its unlikely to be HT lead or Spark plugs as it starts and runs fine on the 2nd attempt i presume? Sounds like a fueling issue, such as needs to turn over a few times to build up enough fuel pressure to start the car. Will it start first time when the engine is already warm?

Aha, bit unexpected! Was thinking you'd go for an Integra or something next. Nice plans though, towing your track toy behind it:)
-
Anyone travelling from down South to this? Ill be going up the A34 etc, anyone wna meet on the way and convoy?

Nice plans mate!

Update >>
Got some brand new Astra CDTI discs and some ST185 Single Piston Calipers and new Yellow Stuff Pads on order.
Really pleased! Calipers in good nick, with only a small amount of surface rust, all seals in tact and a moving pistons:) Will be giving these a bloody good clean first of course and then painting.
Test fitted the discs this evening and i'm glad to say i've bought the right ones Will be dropping them to a friends Engineering Workshop tomorrow to have the necessary metal taken off them:)
So will hopefully have these fitted within the next week!
Thanks to Amjad for helping me with some info!

What club you going with?I'm going with a different club, and staying at the Days Inn hotel on the A50 the night before. Usually get quite a few people stay there. Booked the Novice A track time session, as dont fancy killing the car on an open pit session!
You can also hire pit garages for an extra £10 guys

Any news on these? Want to get it fitted!
-
I made 214.8bhp at 1.0 bar on CT9 at Tuning Developments on EManage Blue. Although they did suspect that the CT9 had been rebuilt in the past with a bigger turbine allowing it to flow more air.

Tempted to come this, anyone heading up to this from down South?
-
Sorry to hear that man, hope you get yourself out the shit!
-
Just wow!!

Yeah i would like Stri Racing gauges but they are so expensive compared to the other options.
-
Everyone says different things about different gauges so am after peoples opinions and experiences with gauges.
Oil temperature, Oil pressure etc.

Probably worth stating your make and model of wheel also mate, as it varies depending on the wheel.
-
Do you not leather your car after washing? Or use some sort of drying towel?
-
Whats the terrain like where the stand is? I remember at donington it was like a 4x4 track getting to a stand, and i dont quite fancy getting stuck
I scraped on the speed bump just before our stand last year even though no one else seemed to lol. I did have 2 other people in the car though..
Starting problems ?

As JimmyMac said could be the engine coolant temperature sensor playing up. If you use the EOBD2 (Diagnostic Plug in). Go into live data, and look to see what temperature the sensor is reading the outside temperature to be etc. You'll soon hopefully spot something that indicates what it is.
