I was on track in my glanza at Japfest. She handled really nicely. I may not have looked amazingly fast, but i wasnt pushing it hard into the corners as it wasn't a race and didn't want to bin my pride and joy. On the straights though i was easily quicker than the Accord Type R, much faster than the B16 EK Civic and the EK9 seemed pretty slow lol. I'm only running CT9 at 1bar. 215bhp. These cars are about power to weight and on track will destroy a lot of cars.

Looks like a really smart glanza you've got yourself there, fresh and subtle! What are your plans for it?
I like those wheels, they give a motorsport look, i had them on a previous car of mine.
Its much better posting pictures that big, otherwise people can hardly see them

Yeah i was pissed off i had to come off early, i was burning loads of oil for some reason. Turned out my PCV valve on my rocker had packed in and it was sucking oil into the bloody intake on boost. Was an easy fix but was putting shit loads of oil into my intake
Glad it wasn't another expensive problem for you!

It sounded nice mate
Cheers dude, i love the sound of the Zisco
Not driving hard enough Toby haha! JK did you get any videos? What cars did you pass/leave?
How were the brakes?
Aha you cheeky bastard:p I didn't get any videos noo, can't afford a gopro Went past a couple Subaru's and an EK9 pretty easily. Could pull away from everything along the straights really:)
The brakes were really good man, i wasn't stamping on them and braking really late, but was really happy with them:)
-
What happened dude? Saw you go off with a cloud of smoke following you?
-
Picture of the V on stand.
One i found, of me going through Folly.
Going on track was awesome fun and i was really pleased with how the V handled! Although i didn't push her too hard:) Was very quick down the straights, the little 4efte felt so so strong and only had oil temperature up to about 102-105C so no dramas

If it was the td colt u was up against that thing is evil went out in it at jf2 last year the thing it just a beast on track and your motor looked good on track mate very smooth
Nah it was some other Black colt with weird green stickers all over it. It wasn't very quick down the straights but he was braking later than everyone and cornering harder.
I was just having fun and taking some nice lines:)
Went well on track an the colt was on track r888's, car is looking fresh mate
John
Cheers John, and also thanks again for moving your car to let me out when i was off for the track session. Your car was looking super clean!
-
Ouch you had to turn the engine off with the turbo spinning at like 50,000 rpm
Nice vid though, and can't believe I missed your V at japfest

Heres the second half of my afternoon session chasing down a 460hp evo 6:D
You were with Dorset jap car club?
-
Nice to meet you too buddy! Your GT was looking so fresh! I was a few cars behind you on the way back to Shaftesbury too but think you went the bottom road to Blandford? I went the top road, much quicker:p guess you were heading back to Poole? Was good to meet you yesterday dude
And looked like you had a blast on track!

04:30 someone needs some stickier tyres, can't have a Colt beat you ;)
Lol he was going past everyone, only one that was pushing hard in corners:p I just let him go, not bothered:) was my 1st time on track in the starlet so didn't want to go into corners too fast and end up in the wall:p was awesome fun though:D

Where were you? Didn't see your car anywhere?

Well organised and a fantastic turnout. Great job, massive thanks to the organisers!

Glad you've sorted it now mate. This thread made a funny read with you realising what you did wrong in the end lol.

Looking to get a tyre fitted to my spare rota, obviously it needs to be multifirectional so I can fit it either side.. Want a good make but don't want to break the bank.
Thoughts on what tyre to get?
-
Just scanned the thread... Not sure why you thought to check your coolant hoses because of a slight misfire... pretty much always going to be fueling or ignition. But if your wideband is indicating that fueling is all good then pretty much going to be ignition. There is most likely moisture under your distributor cap, or the electrodes aren't contacting with the rotor arm very well. Clean it all up and get it dry. Remember electricity is lazy and will always take the shortest easiest route. So if you can see any electrodes in the distributor cap that are worn, then it may be in need of replacing.
Furthermore i would recommend checking your spark plug gaps.
As plugs wear, the gap increases meaning the ignition system has to work harder in order for the spark to jump the larger gap.

Add me to the list please. I'll pay shortly, just need to check whether there's anything in the diary at work this weekend.
-
Welcome along dude. Show us some pictures
-
Thats not a private road lol
-
£5,000 is a good price for that spec
-
Why are you thinking about this, you haven't even got it back from TD yet?
-
New seals in the caliper and its back on, all bled up and back to stopping as it should!
Gave the engine bay a good clean this evening, ready for Japfest:) Also removed the weird plastic intake thing that goes under the bonnet scoop, think it looks much better without it!
Shitty Iphone pictures doesn't do it justice :/
-
£5,000 depending on paintwork i would say.
-
Why are you looking to sell after all your hard work?
