I cant stand tailgaters i do exactley the same when some sits that close to my bumper just to annoy them but i will also go back to the speed limit if they go to overtake just to make a point

same hahaha. If people are behind me but keep a decent distance but obviously want to go faster, especially if I'm below the limit, I'll pull in a little and wave them past if it's safe. I've no problem people over taking me as long as they're not dicks about it. I don't get why people risk it, even if I braked on purpose it's still his fault cause there's no proof a cat didn't run out in front of me ;)

my new engine won't be ran in by then I don't think :'( don't wanna bugger it before it's even seen boost. next time.

I hate tailgaters.

Spent a good 10 minutes trying to teach one a lesson. Anyone who's been in my car can vouch that if I'm driving below the limit or even at the limit, and someone comes up behind me, I'll slow a little and move in and even wave them past if theres a gap cause I hate people sitting close behind me. If people sit a little too close I'll slow down to annoy them and try and get them to back off.

But never have I seen a car get so close behind me that I couldn't see their headlights in my mirror. Said car came out of a junction behind me, overtaking the car infront of it coming around the corner of the junction, and sat within 1/2 a metre of my bumper, so I slowed down to 45/50 in a national, then to 40, trying to get my point across... Then he started swerving, not like to get past me, just in and out, in anger? i dont fucking know it was weird. So for the first time ever I brake checked, not that badly just put the brakes on hard enough to get a point across, he didn't change his position. Eventually he turned off, after trying to overtake in a right filter lane and the car in that lane slowing so he couldn't get past me. Then I just went back to 60 and went on my way, after giving him a nice gesture out the window.

Sorry for the rant, but this really grinds my gears. If people are courteous to me, I will let them and even help them overtake. If he'd been tired I probably would have lost my back bumper. Luckily for me, I have a spare. Unluckily for him, it would have been his fault.

WHY DO PEOPLE DO IT? HE ENDED UP AT HIS DESTINATION AT THE EXACT SAME TIME AS HE WOULD HAVE IF HE'D KEPT A SAFE DISTANCE.

I had those seats before I changed to recaros, so much better than standard seats! Make such a big difference inside too.

Yup I've been trying to find stuff that hasn't been done but it's war impossible. I'd love a bumper like you're describing, because I wanna keep my lip and n/a bonnet and lights but have glanza fogs haha. So if you do it I'll be well jealous!

im painting the surrounding bit the same colour, and maybe the centre console too. Went a bit nuts with paint but ran out of plastic primer today so couldn't do anymore.

Brakes are fixed which is nice, didn't realize how shit mine were :L

I've seen one like that but think it was glanza bottom half n/a top half so there was no tte lip.

Sorry Phil if it makes you feel any better putting the dash back together was very frustrating.

Hard to get a good photo in the sun but the new lights are in! Also did some spur of the moment painting...

Ok so that's strut brace and tow bar painted, new brake pads, fixed a sticky caliper and now just need to change the steering wheel and dash lights.

Progress feels good

Tomorrow is a doing things day.

Gonna upgrade the breaks a little to some nice purple braided lines ;) and change the pads since my break pedal is basically on the floor most times I use it.

Finally fitting the steering wheel and also some blue dash/speedo lights cause I never liked the green.

Might give it a wash maybe and get some photos.

Also planning on removing a few of the bonnet spacers cause they're scratching the paint on my front bumper so gonna make it 10mm raised instead of 15, which pains me since I love the way it looks but what can ya do :'(

Issues above are all sorted, got a few tweaks to do to get her right like handbrake adjustment and the speedo cable needs tightening.

Bigger news though is the FTE inlet is gone, replaced with a Rolla one so the extra powers now lower in the range, much more usable. Again, couple of odd bits left with the throttle cable and the idle issues I've been fighting for months are still there but I'm getting closer to being to stop for a bit, and actually have free time for a change.

Tomorrows jobs are

Check ICV for issues. High idle goes away when it's unplugged so there's definitely something up there.

Adjust rubber throttle cable bushing on the Rolla inlet to take the slack out.

Tighten speedo cable on the box end to stop the needle wobbling at speed.

Calibrate handbrake so I can park on hills again.

IF the weather allows, I'll be done by lunchtime and then I'm taking a break from going under the bonnet until August at least. Can't wait

First starlet I went to view when I was looking for one was this colour, and thats the only one I've ever seen in the flesh! And I wanted it baaaad. I was gonna buy it despite the hole of rot in the boot and unfixable dents on the pillar and bonnet so thats how much I love this colour!

Thanks when i have finished with the mods for the time being im gunna have it all resprayed the same colour. As the bumpers and bootlid do my head in but thats a while off yet

i'm the same, every little scrape and dent annoys the crap out of me! But yeah I'd deffo stay this colour, so nice and not all that common.

Picked up a new tailgate tonight! Has one smallish mark on it, but that'll be covered by the duck spoiler once its on.

BUT until my spoilers are painted and on, I'm gonna have a marked tailgate with no spoiler, which is gonna look weird.

It's either that or keep my rusted one until the spoilers are ready. With show season coming up I can't decided which would be better? Gonna try and get my spoilers painted as soon as they arrive so I can stick them on.

Only thing left to buy body wise is new doors!

I agree! Obviously since it's the one I did choose! I'm not a big fan of any other aftermarket spoilers really. Other than toms, obviously.. haha
