Get them chemically dipped and stripped. There's a firm down the road from me that does a set of 4 for £20

Number 1 piston was fucked along with the bore lol, I might get away with 75mm pistons in there but I'm not holding out much hope. I'll let the machine shop be the judge on that. The crank needs a regrind really as it's pretty heavily scored but I wouldn't say it's fucked. Still not sure what to do about the cam tho? Any way, piston: A couple of Bottom bearings (there all pretty much the same but you get the idea ha):

Looks like my old kit, the turbo housing should be polished up along with manifold and decat. I spent hours chemically treating and polishing it. The wastegate should be a tial with a 0.8 bar spring inside.

The bores are a bit crusty but they should be ok. I haven't got that far yet. I'll start on the bottom end tonight and get some more pics up. Other then the cam the rest of the head is pretty good tho

Cheers matey Just got the head off any way and it's safe to say it has been a bit damp in there And on the exhaust cam I found this under #4 cap. The rest are ok but I'm not to sure what to do about this.

I'm half way through taking the head off I've had problems finding all my tools as my shed sort of looks like your garage did lol. I'll be doing some more to it in a bit tho, the head will be off tonight so I'll get some pics up.

Hmm not sure what's wrong then. My mum had a surf a few years back, I've had a go in a few pajeros to there all good fun. My grandads got a proper off roader project on the go atm based on a fourtrack I'll get some pics when he's back off holiday. It's a proper ground up build to. I'll be looking to mod the vitara in time to, just toying with colours to paint the frames etc atm

It's an old R reg jx 1.6 hard top one. It's good fun in the wet and on the mud tho.

I'm in no hurry for any parts but just seeing what's available atm. What I need is: Gt thermostat housing with sensors nut/bolts etc Oil cap (oem if poss) Oem Crank pulley with no cracks or chips. Looking to forge the engine as well so if any one has some new forged parts there wanting to sell let me know. Cheers

Can't really remember if I'm honest mate. He had a mate with his own tow truck if it helps as I only sold it as a rolling shell.

I've been thinking about getting a mk1 GT as I've wanted one from the start but looking back at my Glanza I do regret selling it and I've missed it every day since. So I'm on the look out for it to see if any one still has it or wants to sell it. The last fella I sold it to was from the midlands so could be roaming around there still. Anyway if any one has seen it about I'd appreciate it if you could let me know. I can get some more pics if needs be. Cheers
