lawbadman
Hello guys, I have a bone stock turbo startlet with a turbo that is making funny noises but still producing good power. I figure I might take the opportunity to do a small upgrade. I have heard that I can just slap on a TD04 or CT12 turbo (limited to 9lbs of boost) without any modification or tuning... As in just fitting the turbo on the car and drive...Is that true? or are other mods necessary for a reliable daily driver? confused.gif I would think I need new injectors and a piggy back ECU and the works. 5e colin
no more then 7 psi on stock setup !!!! port the stock manifold and make a adaptor plate for the tdo4 and reconnect /weld the turbo downpipe to the stock exhaust ( i would suggest tfo35hm of forester same fitment ) very nice quick spooling turbo on a 4efte you can keep top mount intercooler to
Wastegate86
Depends how powerful you wana go?A standard ct9 is good for 170/180bhp on reliable boostThat way you can keep standard internals and not have to worry
ChrisLeeBoost
I had td04 on standard ecu and injectors for a while ran sweet as a nut fair bit more grunt than ct9 even on standard td04 actuator (.4 boost)
